I had taken my grandchild who is only 7 yrs old to Dr Stan Solarsh in Killarney mall, this was our first visit to this doctor because we did not know any other doctors, the first thing he mentioned was a R600.00 consultation fee, I told him the child was coughing and was not getting any food down as she was vomiting, he never even bothered to examin the child, wrote out a script and gave it to me, collected the medication from dischem, after taking medication there was no improvement to the child eventually I took the child to a doctor in midrand who thoroughly examined the child and asked us to take the child immediately to the hospital as the child had pneumonia and bronchitis, you as a doctor should put your profession first as a doctor and not worry about the R600 consultation fee, first check the child and diagnosed then we talk about finance, duty first I will contact the medical board to let them know about the treatment, since she went Johannesburg general hospital she is feeling much better no thanks to you, I as a pensioner feel we are being ripped off by malpractices thank you K Govender
