This review is based on us just stopping here quickly to eat some food, the rest camp looks clean and well maintained. The staff was not extremely friendly at the restaurant but they were great in the shop. The food was delicious and the view was great, we enjoyed a lot of elephants and even saw one crossing the river. They have a huge boabab tree that looks amazing, they explained that this tree was by the time we made this visit carrying fruits for the first time in 20 years.
Gosh what a great camp site! We loved our 2 day stay. The animals and critters around the camp were spectacular and the room/cabin was well maintained and clean. Had a good meal at the restaurant and the view over the lake is beautiful. Must see place and good tour guides too. Patric was amazing!
Great price/ location/ comfort/ service/ accommodation and location balance. In the heart of the Park, with clean rooms, spacious, villas, swimming pool restaurant with good service. Nice view from the restaurant terrace with amazing sunsets.
Very nice camp. Nice viewing from the restaurant area and a very nice pool. I'm still making up my mind about the game viewing there - I've not had much luck with cats, but that may just be a coincidence. Well worth a visitRooms: 5/5
We have been visiting Mopani camp since before the official opening. We have enjoyed many, many happy meals and holidays here. The camp has had it's ups and downs. Gladly it is currently looking amazing. Neat, clean and well maintained. Maybe Letaba rest Camp can learn from the team at Mopani. Thank you to the great welcoming team at Mopani
We were so excited to visit the camp, but the maintenance and neatness were very problematic. The ladies bathrooms were a mess. This camp seems to need new management with a strict focus on maintenance. Most staff members were, however, very friendly. Thanks for that.
Lovely camping spot! Ablutions are clean and neat. The shop has everything you need. The Shingwedzi Riverbed that flanks the camp is a hive of activity with an abundance of animals frequenting the riverbed for water.
The rest camp appears lovely at first. We stayed in a 3 bedroom unit. It had an odd smell but didn’t realize from what. We found one dead bat in our room and as soon as it started to turn night our rooms were infested with bats. Worse night of sleep. Bats were continually coming into our rooms. Bat droppings on the beds. They have a sign up stating breeding season and the bats cannot be removed during this time.
Always a good camp to visit in KNP, but it's clear that it needs some TLC from management, especially the Fish Eagle viewing deck and restaurant area. All KNP staff very friendly and helpfull, except for the ones at the Park Shop, completely disinterested and unhelpful.Rooms: 5/5
Rooms were well built but small things are missing like the lighting are incorrect, being harsh, sharp, blue-shifted, and incorrectly posisioned 5w or more, "cold white" LEDs that shines into your eyes instead of illuminating the room. One can sit outside but the area is not enclosed with "netting", so the bugs will bug you a lot.Rooms: 2/5
