The lady at the reception was kind but could not help us as our issue was with the consular service, and to our disappointment no one was there in the morning nor in the afternoon. Since the embassy and consulate are opened and the public respects its working hours, we also expect that during the public hours there should be someone to attend us. Your kind attention to this is highly appreciated. Thank you.

The lady by the consular area is very arrogant, rude. I think her name is Janet. She doesn’t have patience or whatsoever to explain things in detail.

The ladies were very helpful and gave me a list of things I need to photocopy and gave me the forms to fill in for tomorrow

We are waiting in SA for visa till 3 months !! Why there is no officer to help emergency situations?? We can not find anybody in these time all gates close and no phone answers !! Very bad service.. No website, no contact, no no.. grocery is open but you are not ! Are you not essentials for SA ? You have to be open till this time

After calling with no success, I realised that the phone was dead or disconnected. I went there personally and they were closed. I asked the guard how long they were closed and he told me that it was since the beginning of the lockdown. How are Mozambicans supposed to be repartriated home during lockdown if their only channel to Home Affairs which is the embassy is not available to assist.

Normally a very good experience working with the High Commission. But no assistance during the Covid-19 lockdown period. Does anyone know when essential services will be able to acquire visas for work to be conducted in Mozambique from South Africa?

Receptionist unhelpful, first time applying for visas and they could not tell me what I needed to bring even when I asked if I needed anything else, resulting in a waste of a day when I arrived the second time, waited outside in the sun and then got told I didn't have something else. Only then did they wave me in the direction of the form that lists the required documents.

It takes patience to get what you want. If you ain't patient, you will give up.

Contact details like phone numbers is not working, I tried the whole day yesterday 21 May 2020 to contact the high commission and everytime the answering machine told me the number don't exist
