I would rate 0/10 if I could. I had someone drive into my car in a parking lot almost 2 years ago, with full video footage of the entire incident. I asked MUA before proceeding with the claim if they would follow up with the culprit to retrieve my excess or if I should take the matter to court myself and was assured that they would do it. It took 9 momths for them to do a number plate trace!!! That's actually incorrect because I did a plate trace through a private source, and had to send it to them!! Almost 2 years in and there is still no resolution, I have had no contact with their customer service department, not so much as an apology for their lack of information and lack of progress. If they hadn't blatantly lied to me in the beginning, I would have taken the matter to court myself and had it sorted ages ago. Save your money. MUA lies, tells half-truths, and doesn't care about you.
Terrible customer service. A simple claim for a cellphone, which is under R5000, should not take almost 2 weeks. I've received no communication regarding the status of my claim. I would not recommend this company at all.
Lodged a blocked toilet on Monday its Thursday today still hav a blocked toilet. Useless hav to go find a public toilet to use
Paid for my claim and everything that a usual insurance should do. However, the assessment took way too long. Was without a car for an extra week due to assessment delays.
They repair your vehicle with second hand parts and state on the approved claim replacement part sourced but when the panelbeating gets done the parts are repaired and repainted and no replacement is done. They try save money on the claim and put you in a worse off position as vehicle is not returned in condition it was in prior to accident and they take your premiums. Once you use them for 6yrs plus they justify the use of second hand parts. Recovery on the legal side is not up to scratch they accept other insurers -Outsurance nonsense and dont make an effort to recover your excess when other party misrepresents themself.
THEY ARE ALL TALK AND NO ACTION. OR MORE TO THE POINT.....COUNTER ACTIVE TO WHAT THEY SAY THEY WILL DELIVER. i HAVE BEEN LEFT STRANDED LITERALLY. AFTER HAVING A POLICY ACCEPTED, MY CAR WAS SIDE SWIPED BY A TRUCK CROSSING OVER A SOLID LINE INTO MY LANE. LONG AND SHORT OF IT, THE CAR WAS DEEMED A WRITE OFF, AND ALL THE WHILE, THEY HAD IT RECOVERED FROM THE SCENE, GOT ME A RENTAL VEHICLE, HAD IT ASSESSED AND AS SAID, NOTED AS A WRITE-OFF, AND THEN.....WHEN CAME TIME TO PAY OUT.... .....TOLD ME MY POLICY WAS NEVER MEANT TO BE ISSUED, BECAUSE OF A DEFAULT ON MY NAME FROM YEARS BEFORE THAT HAD BEEN PAID OFF, AND RESCINDED BY MY ATTORNEY. bUT i HAD NOT MENTIONED IT IN MY APPLICATION, WHICH i NEVER REALISED i NEEDED TOO AS IT WAS A RESCINDED MATTER FROM 4 YEARS PRIOR. THEY GOT THE CAR RENTAL VEHICLE COLLECTED FROM ME, CANCELLED THE POLICY IMMEDIATELY AND REPAID ME THE PREMIUMS i PAID, AND TOLD ME TO HAVE MY WRITTEN OFF VEHICLE COLLECTED FROM THE SALVAGE YARD OR THEY WOULD START CHARGING ME STORAGE. MUA IS AN POOR EXCUSE OF AN INSURER AND I WILL NOT STOP MAKING SURE EVERY PERON OUT THERE KNOWS IT! I MYSELF AM A DIRECTOR OF AN INSURANCE AND INVESTMENT BROKERAGE SO I KNOW THE LEGALITIES AND REQUIREMENTS OF THESE "FSP'S" AS THEY ARE KNOWN.....AND THIS WAS A DISGUSTING ACT GOING AGAINST THE VERY CONCEPT OF PROTECTION WHEN NEEDED THAT WE SHOULD STAND FOR. I WAS LEFT HAVING TO GET THE SCRAPED VEHICLE COLLECTED AND SOLD FOR A PITANCE, HAD TO BUY ANOTHER VEHICLE AS I CANNOT BE WITHOUT TRANSPORT IN MY JOB, AND THEY JUST WIPED THEIR HANDS OF ANY RESPONSIBILITY OR EXPENSE PAYOUT. DISGUSTING TO SAY THE VERY LEAST!
Supposedly the best insurance for business owners. What a load of rubbish. Dishonest bunch of thieves that's purely just collecting, they wont be around long.
No Stars for this company and Shamieg has lied to me and tried to shift the blame .It has been over a month and I still have not been attended to .The worst service I have every received .
Never answered. Call got cut off several times and nobody even called back
