Absolutely pathetic! After I was discharged after a grueling operation I went to pay for my medication before I could leave the hospital. I was told to wait in admissions and join the back of the queue about an hour & 1/2. I decided to leave without paying as my drip had worn off and I was feeling terrible. I called the next day to make arrangements for payment only to be told to come to Umhlanga hospital and pay there, but not to worry I don’t have to join the queue.. Well after driving all the way out I was told to join the queue at admissions again to pay shouldn’t be longer than 2 hours!!!! Really to pay for meds!! I eventually left again without paying.. My fuel.bill is probably the same as the bill so far. I still don’t know how I’ll pay. Suppose I’ll wait and see.

Phoned for an item and told it was in stock. Went to fetch it just before closing on a Sunday . Was told that it is hospital stock and would have to be obtained from the hospital and must come back the next day. Overheard someone saying that he had cashed up already. Went back the next day. Was told that the item is hospital stock but they always keep one on the shelf right near the counter and does not have to be obtained from the hospital. So turned me away by lying to me because they decided to cash up early. Sad day for health care when going home is more important than a patient in need

Absolutely ridiculous, waited for almost half and hour to be served only for the pharmacist to assist one of her family members who came after myself and they take absolutely long to attend to a patient
