Probably the worst Virgin Active club I've been too. Staff are not friendly at all.. don't even greet you when you come in to make you feel welcome. There are more broken equipment than anything else. And you pay a premium fee for that.. no thank you.
Pathetic. 12 machines just in the weight training area that are "Not in Use"... this is not a covid issue, simply poor management as these machines have been like this for months! We pay a premium to have a quality gym experience and this is what we get. Virgin Active you are failing!!!

Quietva busy place. The materials for gym are up-to-date. Very neat place. You can even use your laptop to finish yourwork lathe open " office place " or relax infront of the TV in the sitting room place. Friendly consultants will welcome you.
Gym is hot, equipment is old and there is not enough of it, too many cardio machines. Ive been too many gyms and this one isnt great.
Worse Vclub ever, everything is just less here. It should be classified as a cardio gym, that's all the room they have. Not enough weight or gaming equipment...but price is higher I'd not that same to other clubs......Alberton had the shorter end of the stick on this one
The machines are not well maintained as the weight numbers are missing and there isn't enough machines for the amount of people. Gym is too busy at times so you barely get a chance to do weights or cable machines.
It's a very good gym, it's clean and well ventilated. Amanda at the reception makes you feel more welcome by breaking your own language and smile. Nhlanhla attends to all issues regardless of how small they are, he also makes follow up on your progress though he is mostly busy with management stuff. I love how they never miss "bye" at the reception when you are on your way out.
Though I am no longer a member of Virgin Active, I would like to state that the help I received from Tony Masinga & Zanele Zonke has been unmatched. Their kindness and willingness to help has made my experiences in regards to my account a breeze. Thank you.
It is a very nice gym with a good vibe. Staff and management are very friendly at times. It is a upmarket gym and very clean. What really bothers me is that they have four watt bicycles. Three of them were now out of order for almost two weeks. When i spoke to management about it they were not happy about me. They have the best equipment in the gym but it is always full of sweat. The bicycles are full of sweat. Weights are lying around on a daily basis but when management are approached they do not do anything about it. When they opend the gym there were about four helpers available every time of the day. Now you are lucky when you see one a week. The gym is not hygienic. They have the best rules in the gym but it is not implemented. My bakkie was stolen outside the gym. The manager 'Mandla' didn't want me to look at the video footage. Until I found out that the cameras outside had not been working for six months. That makes you think how he can be the manager.
