I love Casbah’s new location just opposite the way from the old location.It feel safer and is well lit neat and clean. What I love is that I can stay inside my car and the waiter comes up to my window and takes my order. The food then gets brought to my window and is hooked onto the window with a tray. I’m not sure what happens when it rains but it didn’t rain when I stopped by. The waiters are attentive and friendly and the food doesn’t taste mass produced. The strawberry milkshake is to die for. Nice and chilled for a hot Joburg Summers Day. The portion sizes are great value for money. I would recommend Casbah to my friends and family.
The staff are friendly but our waiter has poor personal hygiene. Our waiter smelled so bad I didn't want to order food. Their ice-cream machine isn't working. They didn't tell us they only take cash payments before we ordered. To my embarrassment my Grandfather paid. I had to swap out a chair because my chair was so dirty. In fact the whole place looks dirty there's litter where you sitting. I don't believe the staff are made to clean anything. Our table hadn't been wiped. I feel like I can go on for ever about the dirt. They get a 2 star because the staff were friendly and my milkshake was good. That's the only good I can say about Casbah but I won't go back.
The service was sooo bad It was a Friday night I ordered pork chops that should have come with chips and 3 salads Had toi ask the waiter constantly for my salad When it came i was fine with my meal I asked for the leftover meal to be put in a doggie bag .... guess what my salads never made it into my doggie bag even though i politely asked for it. Im sure it got given to another customer Really bad service .... which means you won't see me there again
Decided to try them out and ordered there yesterday for the first time, via Mr Delivery. Totally disappointed. The full chicken was definitely not fresh. It tasted like it had been cooked days ago! Apart from that it was tasteless, smothered with a horrible sauce I think it was supposed to be barbecue sauce.. also, the chicken was placed on top of chips and salads! It was just a mess, honestly. I had also ordered the wings and chips. I ate one winglet and couldn’t carry on. They are the worst wings I’ve had in my entire life. We ended up sharing the burger - which is also not great, but was the most edible of what we bought. I’m definitely not eating their food again. My family had to make sandwiches because this food was a complete disaster. Very disappointed.
This was easily the most disgusting meal I have ever paid for. It tastes like poorly prepared street food without the flavor. The packaging and presentation were also very off putting. I wasted my money here. The livers taste like someone vomited in my mouth.
I got Sunday lunch there on the 24th November. I was very disappointed. I ordered 6 no 2 lunch's. On getting home the boxes were marked 1. And a disgusting burnt piece of wors was just added to 5 boxes. There was almost no meat and all had drumsticks. The cauliflower was obviously burnt, you could taste it.
Service not what is used to be. The service is much more slower. I ordered a toasted cheese burger. After many years, i am afraid to say i was very disappointed in the burger. Taste is what casbah should pride themselves in. The patty which makes the burger did not have much taste
We went to casbah in Alberton this morning. I ordered the King Casbah. What a beast of a burger!! So damn delicious!! I don't normally order burgers but I had a craving for something greasy and this just beat my expectations! Compliments!!
Very disappointed in the food quality. We ordered the family jumbo burgers combo this morning. Not only did we pay R276.00 to not get any ice creams with our order, the burger buns were not fresh at all, the tomato was borderline expired and the chips were half cooked. The sauce that attempted to cover up the already horrible burgers was accompanied by nausea. If you weren't able to give ice creams on a delivery order then state this on your site please. Honestly, a big thumbs up to Mr. Delivery for providing a voucher to redeem when this matter was not even involving them. To none of my family's enjoyment did we pay R276.00 to enjoy a damn coke! If we don't receive a refund then I hope this review will bring to light the terrible food coming from such a well known roadhouse. I do hope that the driver who brought us this delivery might be compensated for his troubles having to fetch and deliver a waste of time.
Great food, love the idea that you have week day carvery's. Also love your curry & rice, we come all the way from Boksburg to order it, Yummy!! Can't wait for the new revamp!
