News Café - Northriding

Had quite a bad experience here and was informed that new owners had just taken over so granted there was a lot of interior touch ups and remodeling going on at the time but the price of everything is exorbitant which in that case franchise so I think the prices are set no matter which news cafe you go to, I would expect though that my cocktail garnishing would at least be real and not some weird plastic looking orange, the food was what ruined it all, for what it costs and what we got was very disappointing, nothing tasted fresh and it was not the same quality that we have experienced before at News Cafe. I just hope that the new management can get it back to its original glory. I might consider giving them a second chance soon.

This place is awesome ,feel very comfy and nice environment, if u really need a place to chill,realax and have fun is News Cafe a place to be ....

Loved this place. Was there on Saturday night and DJ Knox was sublime. The old school music made me reminiscent of the days of my youth. The food was tasty, fresh and well balanced aesthetically. Service was excellent with a waiter who was so attentive to our needs. Thank you guys and keep it up

Compared to other News Cafes this one is well above average but still not very impressive. Staff members are friendly and professional. The restaurant is relatively clean. Nice place to go to if you want to chat for a bit before a big night.

Absolutely shocked!! This news Cafe has NOTHING they advertised on the menu. Had to change my order 3 times. Askes to speak to the manager refused to talk to me. WILL NEVER EAT HERE AGAIN.

A very sad News Cafe that besmirches the name of the franchise. Very limited menu, is made even tinier by unavailable ingredients like no lamb in stock to make the lamb roast. Staff really bring the chilled out music to life with super slow service. Food arrived that didn't match the description on the menu. Again, because they were out of other ingredients. AVOID.

Service completely bad ,waiter took us in the club then disappeared without offering us a table,stood in the club fr 20 minutes no waiter helped. Called the manager and all he asked the waiter was "is that true "no apologies, no action was taken and that waiter kept on aguing with us. Out of a 10 I'll say 0

Nice fun vibes, I was disappointed with the waitress though. She tried to sell me a different brand of cigarette from her pocket telling me I won't get my change if I buy my cigarette from the vending machine which I got. Disturbing waitress

The service during the day can be a bit shocking. Not ideal for one-hour lunch breaks. One waitress Gugu, if I remember correctly is always great though and goes the extra mile

Very slow kitchen even though the place was empty - food was dry and tasteless. Waitress only started to take an interest after 2nd discussion and acknowledged that things could have been better.
