Only a single experience for a doctor's visit. I arrived 20min early because of a first time visit but had to wait 50min after my appointment time to be seen. Rather go to places where time is valued as this is a once only red flag indication for me to wait 70min. The Doctor was good, timekeeping was not.
The dentist and her assistant were both very professional and polite - i arrived for my appointment "late" maybe 20 min but was assisted immediately. Cant say i was disappointed by their service or turn-around-time - more impressed. I come from Laudiummaybe thats why but i think this center excels in its purpose
Time does not apply to the rest of society here you wait for over an hour for your appointment reception is highly underdeveloped in respect to knowing what the hell is going on. As for the Dr’s, Dr Karen Charles is AMAZING if the reception and time management improves it will be five stars
Terrible customer service from receptionists. Made an appointment for 11:30 and was told it would be a basement appointment due to having Covid symptoms. I was also told that I should be on time as they have a tight schedule. I arrived in the basement at 11:29 and waited more than 10 minutes for the doctor after which I called the reception and enquired about my appointment. After explaining that I had been waiting for the last 10 minutes I was then told by Mpho receptionist that I was supposed to call the reception once I arrived for my appointment I was not made aware of this when making my appointment and that I was late and had missed my appointment. No apology for the inconvenience caused was offered.
Don't waste your time and money. Rather go to Intercare which is a million times better! I had a really unpleasant experience with NHC and Dr Charles. I went there to get my chronic forms filled out. Dr Charles/ her assistant sent incomplete forms to the medical aid. Dr Charles even put in the wrong ICD10 codes even after she was told what to put in by the medical aid. Now I'm struggling with medical rejections and having to resend the form. No one ever answers your emails. You always have to phone and struggle. When someone does phone you back, they are so rude to you.
Utterly very, very disappointed. In lockdown doctors were working rotating shifts, just to get 3 days of work in. Yet we kept supporting same doctor, same pharmacy and same optometrist in Grey Owl Centre. I requested a repeat for life critical chronic medication. Total of 5 phonecalls and pleading for Dr Nair to simply give a call back. Nothing. Staff is severely limited to think for themselves or give a basic written mrssage or 5 telephone messages through. 10 days after the fact, critical medication only left for 3 days and zero help. With NHC Grey Owl, the doctors oath means zero. Long term relationship of patients with same doctor does not exist. Worst service or care for patients I'll ever experienced. Rather find a smaller practice, where your doctor take interest in knowing you, or at least speak to you. Sad.
We arrived at NHC 3 Jan 2022 at 10h05 as she needed stitches on het left top part of her hand. The screening personel did not let us entered however went in and cam out and said all the docters are booked, not please wait we will see what we can do nothing. We had to leave the for another medical facility. This is the utmost ignorance that can not be explained. They will never see me again
3 weeks ago I made a yellow fever vaccination appointment for 2 people traveling from the country side 400km at NHC Grey Owl. All their working and traveling arrangements were made accordingly, just to receive a call from NHC 3 days before the appointment to tell me the doctor can’t honour the commitment any longer on Friday afternoon. Very unprofessional.
Made an appointment for 09h45 for my 4 year old. Arrived at 09h50 due to traffic and was told to wait until the next available slot because the next patient was arriving at 10h00 and we could not be seen in the time remaining. The next patient didn't arrive at 10h00 but we were told to wait because there is 5min leniency which we apparently missed by seconds. The next patent arrived at 10h02 so we were told to continue waiting. Makes no sense, how would we ever get seen if 10min isn't enough but there's 5 min leniency applied? Pathetic service.
Had a massive oil burn last week and got second degree burns. Everyone that has assisted me even when my medical aid was being troublesome they staff have been nothing short of spectacular and amazing service especially with helping me with sorting out admin and medical aid issues. Koeketso,Mulalo, Chanel and Ceroline and, sister Martina thank you so much for the awesome service so far and keep it up
