NiteDoc functions exclusively as an after-hours medical practice.

At NiteDoc, we understand that people don't get sick during office hours, and even if they do, people often find it difficult to get to their GP on time for a consultation. The after hours alternative is casualty which is often associated with unpredictable and long waiting times.

NiteDoc after hours medical practice is committed to providing after hours medical care, that is affordable and accessible to all members of the public. We want to be there for you when your GP can't be. We aim to appropriate provide care with minimal waiting times that are shorter and more predictable than those found in casualty.

Our practice aims to be highly professional and efficient, providing a friendly work environment for our staff, and maintaining a practice that is sustainable into the future.

Mission

The mission of NiteDoc is to provide the community with excellent after hours primary health care in a personalized fashion at affordable rates, while also being able to refer appropriately to specialists for further care. We exist to enable patients to access necessary healthcare without the need to incur the costs and prolonged waiting times associated with a visit to casualty. NiteDoc leads in providing health care in this setting.

ABSOLUTELY APPALLING!!!!!! We had to wait for over an hour and a half with an 11 month old baby who had a terrible fever among other things. The reception staff were really friendly and kept apologizing about the long wait. The Doctor on duty on Tuesday 8 November 2022 was nothing short of useless! She asked what was wrong with my child when I eventually got to see the docter, I explained all the symptoms. She took my baby's temp and her useless equipment said that her temp was 37.....she told me my child doesn't have a fever but she will give her some medication for fever. She then proceeded to come to me with Calpol in a spoon. Its an 11 month baby she is not going to deal well with medication in a spoon, I asked for a syringe and she said she will give the medical to my child i said to her that my child will throw up. She then forced my child's mouth open and tried to put the full spoon full into my childs mouth and of course my child threw up. She then asked me if my child threw up before that day, I told her when we walked into the room that throwing up is one of her symptoms. she then said my child will need to be admitted to hospital and we need to go to casualty. She wrote a referral letter which stated that the hospital needs to check for meningitis / measles and that she administered 5ml panado it was calpol We paid the fee that we had to at nite doc and went to casualties at flora clinic where we received nothing short of brilliant service. My child's temp was taken with "working" equipment and her temp was 39.8!!!! she had nothing even remotely close to meningitis or measles she had a bacterial infection caused by her post nasal drip. If Nite Doc had properly qualified Docters who know what they are doing i would not have had to go to casualties, never mind having to pay at nite doc and at casualties which was all completely unnecessary, and could have been avoided if the docter could properly diagnose my child and treat her. I will never ever go back to nite doc and i will defiantly not recommend that anyone goes there, rather go to the closest hospital you WILL get professional service from doctor's who know what they are doing.
Staff were all friendly, including the doctor. My son was given medication during his consult, which was great compared to the usual getting a script which he also received and then queueing at the pharmacy. Will definitely go back should the need arise after hours.
The practice is supposed to open at 9, it is now 10 and the doctor hasnt pitched up to work yet. Update - Once we were called in the doc sat on his phone for a good 5 minutes while we sat quietly waiting for him... Furthermore... He was rude and condescending. We won't be returning. Another update - when we got to the dispensary at dischem we were informed all the dosages were too high or too low and the pharmacist corrected these all for us. What the actual...
Really struggling to find out whether my son received a tetanus shot. Phoning through is becoming a major pain. Surely there is a system in place to see?

I always get good service when I go to the nitedoc. Starting from the front desk and right to the doctors. Excellent!
Worst service I have ever seen from a night doc in my life, waited for almost 2 hours to be helped and that just before curfew to which they simply don't even care. Would not recommend even if you have a knive stuck in your neck!!
Under new management as from 1st Sept 2017. The place has had a makeover & definitely feels like a breath of fresh air!
