Our activities are delivered in a fun & safe environment & our team of qualified and friendly coaches are committed to helping children develop and grow.
The sports project that is implemented by our organisation is “Trampoline”.
Trampoline is a discipline of Gymnastics and is an olympic discipline.
Trampoline has one of the longest life spans of all the olympic disciplines. It requires a great deal of skill, expertise, strength and fitness to execute multiple twisting and somersaulting skills safely. For this reason it can take years to produce high performance gymnasts.
Our project actively promotes the sport of trampoline with special emphasis on providing the opportunity for participation to those who were previously excluded due to a lack of sport and recreation facilities in disadvantaged communities and in doing so level the playing fields. We do this by providing free coaching and
instruction in the sport of trampoline to children and youth from the community of Sebokeng.
We have many talented children who have been in our program since its inception who have been dedicated and committed to the sport. Some of these gymnasts have already reached high performance level and many more on the brink.
Our program seeks to continue to provide them with opportunities to aid and assist their growth and progression in the sport and for these gymnasts the next natural progression is providing them with international exposure so that they can measure themselves in the international arena and gain very necessary experience and confidence.
Addressing the challenges facing our society means that we must come to terms with our past, be aware of the present, and plan for the future. In this, it is central to our mission that we:
1. Recognise our location in Africa and our historical context.
2. Strive to transcend the legacy of apartheid in South Africa and to overcome all forms of gender and other oppressive discrimination.
3. Promote equal opportunity for participation in the sport of trampoline and for the full development of all participants.
4. To develop the sport of trampoline at grassroots level in the previously disadvantaged areas and townships that were formerly excluded from the sport.
5. To provide a holistic approach to real trampoline development, in that it will target trampoline skills development as well as the sociological and physiological development of the participants.
6. Be flexible on access, active in redress, and rigorous on success.
7. Value and promote the contribution that all our members make to realising our mission.
