The menu is highly customisable. You can make up your own pizza, pasta, salad and panini by choosing from a wide range of fresh ingredients. The staff are friendly and accommodating. Lots of vegetarian options. Even Banting can be accomodated by having antipasto or salad. Nice location if you sit outside under the tree. Been there twice and been impressed both times.
We had some time to kill today so we popped in at Nonnas for lunch. The ambiance and atmosphere is fantastic, the outdoor seating gives you a great view and if you have kids they can run around a bit while you wait. The staff are friendly, effecient and well informed. The Americano coffees were weak, the food, chicken fillets and a pizza was average. Looking at the restaurant we were expecting a little more.
Very disappointed. I ordered a seafood tagiatelle only to receive a seafood spaghetti pasta in a dog bowl see picture below. The taste was really good but presentation was the worst I've seen in Pretoria. This could be overlooked if the value for money was a bit better but at the current price point this kind of presentation is not acceptable in my books. Won't be returning any time soon.
Cosy, Welcomed Atmosphere. Friendly staff & Owner is hands on. All their food is Exceptional with fresh Ingredients, But The fact that you can build your Own Pasta, Pizza & Panini's is an added bonus!
Lovely place! Love the ambiance and friendly staff. The manager is visible and has a hands on approach. We only had cuppuccinos, which were piping hot and delicious.
Massive yummy pizza haha I didnt know they soooo big so bring more peeps to finish. But take aways left overs also good for the next 3 days lol they take entertainer so it's a real bargain. Great place. Must try. :-
Friendly staff. The food we had, and we have been many times, have always been excellent. The restaurant is trendy and is located in one of Pretoria's trendiest spots. Their desserts are ! If you are watching your waist, regular visits are not advised. But if it is a cheat day, you better do it properly and it does not get better than this. A visit will be pricey but not break the bank.
Thoroughly enjoyed my breakfast. Good quality and value for money
Sorry guys I understand short staff more than most but.......we waited forever for our drinks eventhough there was hardly any other customers in the restaurant. The starter came after about 30 min and it was zuchinni fries? When we got the main i cant say it was bad...it was just completely tasteless. The pizza tasted like oily stale bread and thats a compliment...devoid of any form of flavour at all. Obviously something went wrong. It seems there was no chef present in the kitchen today. My mom did not get the pasta she asked for and the pasta she got was horrible. I tasted her ham and it left a terrible aftertaste in your mouth. NOT italian food at all. There was abviously more wrong than short staff today. This was the first time we went to nonnas and sadly it will definately be the last. If i could give negative stars i would. That we paid at all for this disaster is an insult.
Had lunch there on Sunday afternoon. Again - for the third time they did not have melanzane available. My son ordered fried calamari, which was bleak and tough. My daughter ordered a chicken salad and got an unappetizing small plate of basic salad ingredients with a few chunks of chicken breast on top. Paid R85 for R30's value. When I wanted to pay, the manager approached me and informed me that their card machine wasn't working and that the waiter was supposed 2 inform me before we started ordering, which she didn't. After a lot of time wasted, we eventually managed to draw cash and pay. What a terrible and definitely last experience at this restaurant.
