Family owned and managed, OK Foods Oakdale opened its doors on 26 November 2015.

Fresh bread is available daily, along with a vast array of dry/frozen and refrigerated grocery lines and Ready to eat meals. We have a well-stocked Delicatessen offering antipasto, cheeses, pre-made salads, continental & cold meats, sliced for your convenience while you wait.

Our seasonal, locally sourced fruit and vegetables are fresh and our Meat section provides you with butcher quality produce.

We are conveniently located in the heart of Oakdale/Boston at 165 Durban Road with loads of free parking.

Popped in quickly to grab something treaty for our rescue puppy that turned a year old today and was a bit on the fuzzy side due to a lack of sleep last night. I was however very promptly and ably assisted, and after a quick exchange of words was on my merry way to the till where I was greeted with happy faces and efficient service. There's an all around welcoming atmosphere coupled with an ample supply of their various products at very reasonable prices. Well worth a stop-and-shop
This OK has great staff, efficient checkouts and plenty of parking right outside the store. Its not a high end store but the items they stock are chosen well and I find all my essential grocery items there plus some nice extras. The prices are very good. All in all one of my favourite places to shop.
I Love this shop and the friendly fast working staff. It's a very convenient and quick way to shop, ample parking and with an OK liquors inside the premises. It's always a pleasure shopping here. The shop is clean, neat and tidy. They can give some attention to the variety of health products though.
Depends who is on duty. I used to buy water here. So happy we have another choice now. The death and do you a favor behind that money market counter...... let's move swiftly along. . . Not worth the energy and time. The same with employees who think they do you a favor when instead, they earn a salary. There are so many unemployed who would be so happy earning a salary. Pass improved service or pass your job on to those who appreciate making a difference.
Always clean, always have what I want, staff always helpful and friendly, always a good shopping experience.

It's really just OK. Which is a pity as the rest of the place apart from their bakery is tolerable. Caught the lady behind the bakery counter using her bare hands to reorganize the pies. No gloves...and before that she was busy elsewhere. Not cool. Also, they do not sell any kind of Orhan, eg, ox liver etc. Other than that...a likable store
I will not waste a single cent at this store until the owners make a decision to place competent store managers in their store to mange not only the store bt who can treat customers with the necessary respect and professionalism.Johan does not deserve the title or position as he is not able to resolve customer enquiries and has no Frontline customer etiquette. Very narrow minded old man who shud retire cause clearly his way to tired to handle the store and its clients. Its common knowledge that if u advertise a price you should expect customers to purchase against that price. If the store no longer sell certain goods at a specific size at a set price one needs to remove it from the public eye.The customer pay the expected price that they see advertised and we are not there to train or do the job of the employees employed at the store...we are the consumers not the laborers ..bt maybe it's because my skintone was not light enough that I did not deserve the best service that the store has to offer. Johan u could have just made a polite apology that the prices was not amended yet and atleast show some effort that u are doing the best thing possible as a manager to correct the error pointed out to u instead of walking out of our unfinished conversation just because u are confronted with your incompetence to manage the store and its employees who is responsible for pricing and advertising.
I enjoy shopping there when Im the area It would nice if the staff are educated to ask for the points cards & not just say sorry it's too late
How refreshing it would be to find grated pre packed beetroot, the fresh version instead of always dried out brown . Sis!!! Always the beetroot. Stop selling lettuce leaves and cucumber pieces cut off from bad and expired vegetable parts at a fraction cheaper with a TODAY ONLY sticker. The following day those items are slimy. Especially peppers and salad leaves. Cucumber pieces cut away from off cucumber is not healthy!! We should not have to always write letters to report. Train the staff standing around on floor with nothing to do, what to look for, remove it from shelves not sell it at R2.00 less.If it's bad SHOW RESPECT WE DO NOT EVEN WANT IT FOR FREE!
