Absolutely divine dining experience. This is truly a gem of a restaurant. Great for socializing and meet-ups. But the highlight is the culinary experience. Ordered the clam chowder soup for starters which was amazingly rich, the lamb for mains and my colleague ordered the kudu both if which were incredibly well-plated and delicious. For dessert, we had the creme brulee, also rich even though I’m not a dessert guy. Overall a very pleasant night.

Amazing service, the drinks were great! Their cocktails are strong and tasty. Absolutely loved our food! It was delicious!  The service was 10/10  Thoroughly enjoyed my experience there and will be back!

I ordered a seafood chowder as a starter. Loved it. It burst with flavor. Then ordered the main mail Paella. This was a bit of a let down. The waiter stated it was very spicy, I ordered it looking forward to the spiciness only to receive a Paella with no spice at all. With some imagination the Chorizo had some spice in it. The risotto was gritty and lacked punch and flavor.

This place is quite busy, especially on the weekends. It’s necessary to book a table in advance. We sat inside because it was already chilly in the evening. Simple interior. Perhaps due to the fact that there are a lot of people, we were waiting our food quite long time. We liked our dinner, it was good! In South Africa, on the check you hand write the amount of the tip, and the final amount along with the tip. The waiter once again added a tip to the final amount of the bill.  We understand that the waiter could accidentally make a mistake. Therefore, it is better to recheck the amount on card machine when you pay.

Breakfast was amazing, everything was very fresh and delicious and value for money. Hot beverages was definitely tops and what made it more Better was the quick service from the waiter and the stunning view. Would definitely be returning again, highly recommended.

Myself and 4 other friends enjoyed a lovely breakfast at On the Rocks, who managed to seat us outside at short notice. And nothing beats the view from the deck! Outside seating is of course pet friendly.  Our breakfasts were tasty and well prepared.

Even on this cold day in Cape Town, On the Rocks was the perfect little spot for breakfast with a gorgeous view! The breakfasts we had were delicious and so was the coffee. We had a lovely time here, indoors protected from the elements but able to watch the waves crash over the rocks outside.  Parking: Free parking available near by, however the bays fill up very quickly. Go early to not be disappointed.

The views from the restaurant are terrific. I visited the restaurant for a sunset dinner.  The tables were spaced apart well.  The menu seemed lovely. I ordered the steak with spinach and sweet potatoes. It was really good.  The service was good. I felt the prices were appropriate. I would definitely recommend.

Didn’t enjoy the food. The waiter didn’t come back to give feedback after we requested to move inside because it got cold. And he didn’t make up for it when we piped up. I know times have been tough on the restaurant industry due to Covid but the restaurant needs a lick of paint and some TLC. It’s rundown. Pity. All the best.

This is an amazing location. Stunning views of the ocean, crashing waves and of course table mountain. Sitting out on the deck was perfect for lunch. The food was incredible and the staff were polite and friendly. You have to try the creme brûlée-OMG!
