The guest house is beautiful and staff are friendly and very helpful. They also had late night check in, thank goodness as we only arrived at 9pm. It was a comfy night sleep before we had to get on a long flight. We would love to return, choosing summertime so we can try out the huge pool. I loved the staircase. Rooms: Rooms were nice and beds were comfortable. Safety: They have a security gate and security guards, we felt very safe there. Food & drinks: Breakfast was delicious. There are also Fast food places, not even 5 minutes down the road where we got dinner.
Thank you too all the staff at OR Thambo guest house for making my stay as an physically disabled lawn bowls athlete so wonderfully perfect! I will most definitely come back again soon. Rooms: Very neat and clean and quiet. Walkability: All is flat and wheelchair accessible from room 14 straight to the breakfast area. There is always people willing to assist so don't hesitate to ask if required. Food & drinks: Absolutely delicious breakfast!

The place is very clean and the staff are very friendly. The only problem encountered there was the hot water In the shower, me and my partner couldn't get the right balance between hot and cold water, both during the evening of check-in and in the morning, it got very hot and when you touch the tap trying to move it to the colder side it got very cold even when moving the it slightly
We booked a room here for 2 of our staff members for a business trip. There was no wifi and no hot water during the stay. Signal was also very poor so our staff couldn’t book an Uber. When they asked reception for assistance they got the reply “well what can we do about it” from the guy behind the counter. We will not book here again
Excellent stay Liked · I had a very late flight. Mrs. Loraine was so kind as to call follow up and see if I am doing fine. She waited up for me and checked me in personally. That is excellent service. South Africa with loadshedding and everything that goes hand in hand with that. I was informed that the whole of Johannesburg had a water problem and not just left in the dark with what could have been a very irritating scenario. Thankfully I could enjoy a lovely warm shower before bed. Thank you very much for transparency and excellent service. My room was clean, linen fresh and the bed very comfortable. Again two bottles drinking water in the fridge and milk. So much better than coffee creamer. Breakfast was good. Having a severe allergy to gluten, they had more than enough options at my disposal and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Disliked · As mentioned before. I would recommend bedside floormats and a dustbin in the bathroom. Other than that I have no complaints.
This little bed and breakfast guesthouse is about 10km or 6 miles from OR Tambo airport. Lovely clean room and because our departure was so early they prepared a beautiful and welcome early breakfast in advance. We arrived around 8pm and I was so grateful to get a bucket of ice to chill some drinks before we slept. Lovely pool area must be fantastic in the warmer summer months.
The breakfast was amazing and the rooms are exactly as advertised, but the area is difficult to find uber's as we couldn't go out anywhere. The host takes to long to get to the point of what he tries to sayhe talks to much and the staff was great at helping me with the leak and how to stop water from coming in the bathroom. Overall we had a good stay.
Rather disorganized booking system that had no record of changed dates even though I had written confirmation. Rooms were pleasant and comfortable but the towels provided rather small for a 4* establishment.
