I had a wonderful experience at the hotel. Every staff member I encountered were delightful and eager to help! Thank you! The staff at this property are all great! They all go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable. Hosted Lunch with Family everything was on point and as we asked for. The best hotel I’ve ever been privileged enough to stay at. Gorgeous building, views and it only gets more breathtaking with each sight. A classic. Variety of meals and drinks to choose from and i would do it again and again. I look forward to coming back and go to see the waterfall.

Our manager booked in this hotel, the staff is great and the rooms are stunning however the after sales is bad, I believe the management is racist and do not take black people serious. I would never recommend black people to support this establishment unless they know that they don't have to deal with the hotel later on. Noteworthy details: Their after sales is bad

3 February 2009 There are 2 routes to Magoebaskloof – one via Lydenburg and Hoedspruit – the other via Bela Bela Warmbaths and Pietersburg. We took the Bela Bela option. For breakfast, we stopped at the Petroport Bridge and had a Steers breakfast. Close to Magoebaskloof, we were amazed at what looked like St Joseph lilies. They were everywhere – in the grass, on the banks next to the road … growing wild. Some of the local youngsters sell them in bunches next to the road. We arrive at the hotel after 10 – but check-in time was only at 12, so we had our first view of the valley. Absolutely breathtaking. And actually quite chilly! Luckily one of my coffee friends advised me to bring along jackets. I was actually so chilly, I had a nice cappuccino to warm me. A few motorcycle bikers joined us on the patio for a ‘brandy and coke’, had a few jokes amongst themselves and left again for the next pub. In the room, tea/coffee making facilities, ice cubes for room service I presume and 4 of the most delightful biscuits. I’m not 100% sure, but think they were Greek almond biscuits. Filled with nuts and loads of icing sugar all around – drenching your clothes and carpet in white… Have you experienced that a lot of hotels/guest houses are furnished with light curtains – breezy and airy, but not dark enough for an afternoon nap? So I bought us both eye masks used in planes mostly. Having regular nightmares, waking up and seeing things in the room usually a towel over the door, I thought an eye mask might be my solution. We slept for 3 hours!

We were at a wedding here and everything was perfect. Beautiful view of the kloof and the food was great. Not sure what it would be like to sleepover but the evening was great. Good place to have a wedding.

Would only suggest it for probably massages and hiking… Pretty old. Really, seriously needs renovation change of furniture and bathrooms, maintenance “stained walls and ceilings from water leaks”. I could literally feel the spring of the mattress. The breakfast did no justice either, really disappointed.

Rooms were OK, but they are definitely showing wear from years of use without sufficient maintenance. The restaurant service was not great as it seems management doesn't care about maintenance: Toaster was not working, no coffee beans for coffee -- I mean these things are terribly basic and simple to get right. Nearby activities: Hikes nearby.

Great views, decent hot water temperature for long showers, great shower head pressure and decent bedding. Enjoyed the hot stone full body massage! However, below requires attention - maintenance/ renovation of the bathroom tiling, drainage- off smell is consistent, shower glass - breakfast facilities were not working/ faulty, example: toaster and food warmers served cold food - the standard queen bed we used felt used/springy - white towels are preferred, considering mass use as is the bedding

Just off the main road, it's so great to locate. Service was ok, but the beers were cold. Did not stay on sight, but it looks like a next time ideaRooms: 4/5

We booked Sunday lunch and arrived later than we had to, the food was almost finished and the manager told us we can order off the menu and add what was left! Amazing service! Friendly staffService: 5/5
