Parow Library

Very professional service and the library is quite big. Went there to open a library account. They needed proof address and a ID. You need to fill out a form and also give a references that does not stay with you, work address and contact details. It doesn't cost anything and the card was issues within 20 minutes. You can borrow 20 books for a period of 1 month. I didn't use any other facilities at the library but I saw that they have CD's and movies as well. There is dedicated parking, books and magazines to buy. Nice place to get any kind of book on most of the topics you need to study, further you general knowledge or reading. I do recommend this library for anyone, young and old.

A wonderful experience with the friendliest and most helpful staff. If you're ever in need of information or a good read, this is definitely the place to go. Marvin the Librarian is really knowledgeable and one of the most helpful people I have met. Ask for him by name the next time you visit.

The place is a GEM. Peaceful, controlled and the staff is super friendly. The parking is available and plenty. There are cubicles for laptop use and it’s in a quiet area too. I love everything about this place. It’s CLEAN and the furniture is so comfortable. I love it!! I can’t say enough.

I have such fond memories of this library! Spent so many hours here every week reading my favourites or doing research all through the 80’s, in high school. I now live in Pta, but will never forget this place. The staff were always knowledgeable and helpful, comfy chairs and workspaces. Just loved it! Thank you for giving me such wonderful memories...

I was not inside just dropped my mom there. She is very happy with the library and goes regularly to drop off and fetch new books.

Great, helpful staff. Felt like it could be morr cleaner, most of the decor, furniture and signs seemed old. However the kids enjoy some reading time.

Lots of books on offer. When I went they were doing a book sale. Great prices on quality second hand books. Highly advisable to go if you've been looking for a book that is too expensive new. They probably have it for dirt cheap! Librarians are willing to help too!

The library is a tranquil refuge from the downtrodden neighbourhood in which it resides. I used to particularly appreciate the immaculate inner courtyard but unfortunately the garden has been allowed to fall apart; it was so beautiful I would make visits just to enjoy the lawn. I do hope they return it to its former glory at some point. Also, I regularly make large donations of books to this library, and the staff appear indifferent to the gesture. An adequate show of appreciation would allay my worry that my resources could be better deployed elsewhere.

The staff are rude. You aren't allowed to sit anywhere and of you want to use the internet you have to wait in line outside in the boiling sun or rain. The staff are rude and makes taking my kids to the library such an unpleasant experience that I try not to go there at all.
