Our neighboring unit and ours were both robbed in the middle of the night. They came into our bedroom while we were sleeping and stole our phones from our bedside tables the robbers were were in the room with us while we were sleeping!!!. They also stole all our cash and our laptop. The doors don't lock properly without the use of a deadbolt that was clearly added as an after-thought. The unit, view, and service was otherwise amazing, but this unfortunately ruined our holiday. Hotel management was very sympathetic, but without taking any responsibility or being willing to offer any form of compensation.
Stayed at Pine Lake Resort a while back and it was definitely worth it! Best thing was their backup system so basically didn't even experience LOADSHEDDING. Entire unit is designed well, very modern and maximises space. Everyone enjoyed Beds and pillows were extremely comfortable to sleep in. Especially if you are a person who doesn't sleep well in any other bed but their own. Well worth it. See you soon!
The chalets were modern,beautiful and clean. The view of the lake was amazing. Loved the relaxed atmosphere. Enjoyed fishing daily . Lots of activities for the kids. Continously cleaning and maintaining the gardens. The staff are friendly and helpful. The pool area over looks the lake . Every minute spent at the resort was incredible. Didn't feel like leaving the resort even for a day out. The only negative point I'd say ...the kiosk is ridiculously over priced...but otherwise loved our stay . Definitely returning in the future.
Excellent resort. Well run. Clean. If you're wanting to mountain bike... It's ideal. Fantastic riding and dedicated trails in the area. We had an open water swim event in the lake.... probably one of the cleanest dams in SA. The only possible issue is location. It is a bit far from attractions. However we have been to the resort a few times and would happily return.
Beautiful, serene and peaceful are the most apt words to describe this beautiful establishment. Great location in white river, just a stone throw away to the town and about 45 minutes to Phabeni gate it is the perfect base for those wanting to explore Kruger park. The longmere dam is the most clean and beautiful backdrop to the chalets. Picturesque and perfect for those sunrise and sunset instgram pictures. Resort is kid friendly but for the elderly there are a lot of stairs and many levels to the chalet. Chalet is uniquely designed, modern and has 2 tvs which is amazing as it even includes a smart TV for those cold winter days. The ffg factors are why I didn't give it a 5 star: 1. Charge for activities like put put, tennis and boardgames 2. Chalets have a fireplace and most resorts with a fireplace always leave a bundle of.complimentary fire wood for the first night you get there. Other than that it was an amazing stay. The beautiful landscape, gardens and pool are really a sign that there is a great management and support team that take pride in ensuring the resort is kept in pristine condition. Rooms: Great linen and towels. Plug points have USB ports. Safety: Well secured with access control and a guard. Walkability: There is a bird trail and jogging route on site. Elderly might find it difficult as lots of stairs.
There were families on the weekends, but it never felt crowded. The backyard is open to the lake, and people can walk across and to the lake, but again, it's not intrusive. The place is absolutely beautiful for families,and for retreat Rooms: There are no rooms at the resort. There are chalets, I think all of them have 3 bedrooms, a kitchen, a dining room, and a living room, walk out to the back yard on the lake with a grill table with chairs and lounge chairs. Beautiful view. They come and clean every day, I think we didn't think it was necessary, so we asked not to come every day. The grounds are clean and trim. There is a pool and all around is very nicely kept. Nearby activities: If you don't have a car is difficult to go anywhere. You can get reception to get you a taxi but I'm not sure about the price. Safety: The gatted nature resort. I'd very safe. Lots of stuff yet very quiet and peaceful. Food & drinks: Small store with really just very few things. Noteworthy details: There is a small laundry facility. There is a massage parlor by the small store. There is a games room with a pool and ping pong tables. There is a small mini golf and a playground. Early in the morning, some people walked around the edge of the lake for some morning fishing
Absolutely amazing. I wish we had stayed longer. Next time we are taking the kids along. The 3 room chalets are perfect for family retreats.Rooms: 5/5
Greetings. On Feb 6, 2023, my daughter and i stayed for one night at pine lake resort to rest from a long journey before continuing the next day to Johannesburg. To be honest, this resort was much less than we expected it to be and i felt very disappointed.
Great appartments with a lake view. Well equipped and clean. Management wasn't very reactive with solving our issues.Rooms: 5/5
What a great place, we relaxed and had a great time. All the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The generator is a big bonus, no loadshedding . I only have three complaints.... 1. Only the main bedroom has an air conditioner , all other rooms have roof fans only. 2. The website and brochure both stipulates that there are canoes and paddle boats available. But there's NO canoes so please take that off your brochure and website because i really looked forward to some canoeing but when i tried to book one, they only had the paddle boats. 3. The wifi is a complete disaster, works on and off, but more off that on. The receptionist said it wil be sorted out the next day, but it wasn't. If you want to get any work done, bring your own internet. Other than that we all really had an awesome time and i will definitely be back again with my own canoe and router Thanks for a great time!
