Service is always friendly. I've found myself without electricity a lot lately, and spur is very accommodating. Allowing me ro spend all day at their restaurant working while my child plays. They have perfected being attentive when you need them and leaving you to be when in virtual meetings. The food is always delicious
We had very delicious Pitza & Chicken Schnitzel with creamy mushroom sauce and chips. The Service was excellent and waiters were very friendly. Good place for having lunch on a Sunday.
Lovely service and lovely kids play area. However the indoor play area bottom section has dark netting so one can not clearly see inside and two little boys were throwing stuff at my daughter and pushed her over, thankfully i saw them as id gone in to call her. I was not impressed that the lady watching the kids could not see what was going on under there. So I'd recommend removing this netting so the ladies watching the kids can see what's going on. If it weren't for that I'd give 5 stars. Vegetarian options: There are vegetarian options like their nachos which are a firm favorite. Haven't had better anywhere else to date. Kid-friendliness: Nice kids play area indoors and outdoors. Parking: Good parking space if there early or on quiet days. The centre is at times very busy. Wheelchair accessibility: The centre is wheel chair friendly however I am unsure if the spur is. Their entrance isn't large and just people coming and going it gets congested. Also the aisles are very narrow. However I'm sure if one called ahead of time arrangements could be made.
Play room very organised with clip on child and great for them to have a picture to colour. Service for 2 milkshakes and child waffle shouldn't take 40 minutes to prepare. Otherwise waitresses and reception and play area staff are very friendly. We are grandparents of regulars visiting for weekend and taking our grandchild out for a treat.
Great place to take the kids, I like the safety measures they take to make sure the kids are safe. I love friendly staff, extra points. It does get really full in the afternoon, but the wait for food isn't long.Food: 5/5
Today I took my mom out for lunch to your spur for her 95th birthday. She was so excited to have the staff sing happy birthday to her . I told the guy that seated us plus the server twice that she was having a birthday..but no singers. There was another birthday party which was sung to. I asked the server after we paid the bill.......why no birthday singers.....she forgot .....I am so sorry I tipped her R30 rand. My mom is 95 this could be her last birthday on this earth.....what a disappointment last year we went to the spur in midlands mall....the staff could not have been kinder to her. This may sound trivial to your establishment and staff but to a 95 year old it was going to be the highlight of her day...............shame on you.
I understood about the wait for service and food as it was packed. But i must say i found your glasses dirty and takeaway box dirty think i was given a used one somehow, dont know how....
The food was great, good service very friendly host and waiter. Overall it was a good experience definitely will revisit.Food: 4/5

I had a delicious steak - but pity that I had a long waiting period & poor customer service. I visited for lunch with my partner. We were delighted by the service in the past & assumed it would be a regular dining experience. The service was below average & both meals were incorrectly prepared. We arrived at around 2:00pm & were instantly granted a table. The restaurant was less than half full yet we waited for 20 minutes before a waiter arrived with menu's. My partner ordered Nacho's & told the waiter to exclude guacamole & tomatoes, I had ordered a steak meal & requested the steak to be medium rare. About 40 minutes later our food finally arrived but sadly upon inspection the Nachos had guacamole & tomatoes in it. My steak was well done & not medium rare as requested. The waiter was flagged down after much effort & the situation was explained, I was left speechless when the waiter told me that my steak was medium rare. The steak had absolutely no visible red or pinkness to indicate this but rather a dark charred color. We waited another 40 minutes for the correct order to arrive. After completing our meal we had requested the bill & it was provided. The sad news was that the waiter never returned to collect the bill or accept payment from us. We proceeded to the main door & paid for our meal. Overall the food experience was underwhelming but when the correct order arrived it was delicious. I would not like to visit again & would recommend that service levels need to be increased. I would strongly suggest that attention to detail is looked at in a broader aspect. A thumbs down for me
