Midlands Cinecity

Took my 3 kids for a movie Fast and furious 10, they loved everything about it and the cinema itself. Problem is at the refreshment stations we had to wait long as popcorn was still being made. But none the less we enjoyed.

On Tuesday during the hoidays and on Budget Tuesday thete are 2 staff behind the kiosk. Are you kidding me???? The movies are strating and they have not even assisted galf the people. It's a bloody joke! We waited in line for 30min and we already booked online the week prior. I am extremely disappointed with CineCentre Midlands Mall.

Pretty nice and affordable but the cinema is showing its age with its worn out seats although it's often very clean. The Tuesday deal's are honestly the best reason to come here.

3 times on different occasions we have been charged R50+ more for our popcorn/coke. Check your slips guys, very suspicious.

Meals just taste better at this branch than any other in kzn.friendly staff always ready to please.

Great place. This place is very popular in pietermaritzburg to watch a new movie, or to just hang and do something with friends. Their latest LED light installation along the theater steps are VERY distracting to viewers though, it shines right into their eyes if they sit on a chair next to the isle. Also I've heard complaints about one of the theater's sound system, the one speaker crackles every now and then, making the customer's experience suck a little.

It's a very Intimate cinema. The service is quite impressive as well... I'd truly recommend

I thought it was just me but I've seen some reviews stating the same thing, that the movie was a bit too dark to actually see finer details in the scenes. Took off my 3D glasses a few times besides that the cinema itself is not too bad, it is placed right at the corner of the food court so that's great!

My initial review wasn’t very good as they allowed under a year old, disruptive babies into the movie theatre but having visited this place again it’s gotten even worse!! Poor hygiene standards, untrained,useless staff that take even longer to serve popcorn despite no crowds missed half the movie. No screening, distance or any covid protocols followed. Staff serving popcorn don’t wear gloves or hairnets and their filthy hands get into the heads and straight back to touching your popcorn! Absolutely disgusting for a reputable company to not uphold any standards.
