Planet Woooof Pet Store

I had an amazing experience dealing with this pet shop yesterday for the very first time. I would like to let you know that Zandre has been EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT. His service from the start until we have received my daughter's dog food has been amazing. Thank you very much Zandre for the excellent service which we have received from you yesterday.

The best pet shop in the city by far. So much variety and interesting gadgets. I rarely walk out there with only what I came in for. I always buy more because they have such great prices.

One of the best pet stores in Cape Town. They stock a wide range of pet toys, food, treats and medicated products. I love that they have a wide range of cat stuff specifically. So many pet stores seem to cater more for dogs so it is nice to have lots of cat stuff to choose from. They also have a wide price range so you will be sure to find something at just the right price point

I am feeling extremely disappointed with this store PLANET WOOF actually more so lost for words! Me and my husband have been supporting this store for many years and got to know the staff very well. We loved this store, the staff always so helpful and friendly. We often donated unwanted accessories, treats & food to the store to give to the dog shelters. We recently bought a bag of acana food for our puppy that happened to be out of date by a few months, I only realised it was out of date the day after purchasing the bag. I then took the bag back to the store and asked for a refund and then I was accused of tampering with the bag as the price tag/label looked “old” and was refused a refund! I am so lost for words and I feel deeply saddened by this experience! I will never support them again! It’s such a shame that the small percentage of dishonest people in this world ruin it for the rest of us. They should be ashamed of themselves accusing us of such acts!

Carmen is incredibly passionate about supplying customers with ethical and healthy treats and food. She clearly puts effort into to ensuring that she stocks the correct products for exotic animals as well as cats and dogs. There is no other pet shop that I would rather support, ESPECIALLY because they also don't sell animals!

They have a very High level of integrity when it comes to protecting your pets health. They are an excellent store. I had a very unfortunate experience with Tropiclean Dental gel for dogs. The product label did not have any warning about possible side effects. My dog died within 24 hours of using the product. The owner of the store did further research into Tropiclean USA, and then immediately removed the product from her stores. It takes care and integrity to do so, and at least other dogs will not experience illness from the product.

I am a crazy dog mom and I love spoiling my dogs so I frequent many pet stores. My partner introduced me to Planet Woooof - which is a tad far from where we live, but definitely one of my favourtie stores. Really impressed with the customer service - a lovely gentleman helped me pick out a slow feeding bowl today - which is working wonders! Many toy and treat options too.

Friendly service, always helpful and well stocked. You will be spoilt for choice. Added bonus is their loyalty program. Big thumbs up!

AVOID this shop at all costs! The owner of this shop shouted at two different staff members in front of customers and doesnt seem to have any concept of costumers service whatsoever. She sold me defective merchandise and attempted to insist I had broken the product through misuse despite the fact that another one of the exact same item had broken the previous day in the store. At which time she also attempted to blame me for handling it incorrectly in the store. How u can blame a customer for breaking a dog backpack carrier just by opening and closing its drawstring in the store is incomprehensible. To give them grief when the exact same drawstring breaks on an identical item they have taken home is simply bizarre.
