Flights here is ridiculously expensive. Very tiny airport. 8 out of 10 times flights are delayed. Security checkpoint ladies can be a bit overbearing sometimes. The scale of the airport is comforting though, which makes the pre and post flight stress alot lighter.
Relatively quiet airport. Shops are few but with good service. Wimpy ® has got a great view of the runway and aeroplanes. Fast check in services.
Ja a small airport but it has what you need and that’s great! The staff at check in are lovely, a great whimpy upstairs or once threw the security can get some coffee and just wait for your flight. Security it quick the airport clean and when arriving back your bags come out really quick which is a bonus! No complaints
So I was in the PE airport last week and for the first time ever, I had to take my computer charger and cell phone charger out my bag before the bag went through the security scanner. I found it a bit strange as this has never happened to me anywhere in the world ever before. The reasons given were that these block other items in the bag. I must say, I was surprised but because the airport was not busy, it did not take long. But it would be good to understand the logic behind this and if anyone can help, it would be appreciated.
Fast efficient check-in. Small airport that is easily navigated. Business lounge well run, clean, nice food and friendly staff. A very pleasant experience compared to many large international airports. Excellent flight between Port Elizabeth and Cape Town.
Serves its function I guess but its taking pride in the little things that influence ones impression. Consider using clip frames for notices that need to be updated regularly instead of torn A4 taped to the wall. Get the service provider to maintain the parking pay points to avoid user frustration and queues. Perhaps even slap fresh coat of paint of the interior so it doesn't resemble a 90s public library. It just looks and feels forgotten.
It was nice but I didn't enjoy it, it was raining four days non stop
A very small airport which can be a good thing less walking but limited stores and restaurants. The inside is a little outdated, feels like you are in a government department… Some renovations or something could help.
Small, due for an upgrade if it wants to be truly international. Needs more restaurants, service was sufficient.
My stringbag was taken by SAfair airhostess on 13/06 on FA421 from Durban, as I was at Emergency door, and placed in roofcabinet. When leaving I did not find it. I am looking for my string bag with documents, 2 log books and 2 newspapers. The PE airport personelle is handling it well and say they have a lead.
