Portobello Cafe / Bistro / Deli / Bakery

Portobellos just so happens to be one of the “nicer” restaurants at Cresta. Cresta itself doesn’t really boast the best choice in upmarket restaurants, but Portobellos certainly does try. The staff were all very friendly and perfectly helpful even though they were extremely slow and distracted. The food was average, nothing spectacular but nothing particularly disappointing either. It was sad to find out that the desserts are brought in from an external source. I think a deli style restaurant should produce most of their own menu. The layout looked old and slightly stale so I didn’t chance it. If you are starving and find yourself at Cresta, it’s nit a bad choice.

Revonia was a suberb waitress, she was friendly and gave me options for a freshly squeezed juice. Loved the atmosphere for a small restaurant and ordered a chicken wrap which was delicious. Will definitely be back

An excellent eatery with very good coffee and a welcome change from the conglomerate franchise setup of Mugg and Bean et Al. The food is good served well and priced in the medium range of surrounding eateries. An excellent deli is attached and together with a dedicated coffee shop makes for a great shopping experience.

Portobello has an extensive menu, including some healthier options if normal fare doesn't make the cut. It's a lovely, quiet option during the week to have a cup of coffee while shopping at Cresta. Service is friendly and efficient

Something really dishonest is happening here. I ate at the restaurant on 5 March and they handwrote the bill. I submitted it for a claim and when my company contacted them, the manager said it's something they never do. Really dodgy business practices at Portobello. That said the waiters are lovely. The food is average.

Nice place. Eggs poached perfectly. Beef sausages are awesome. Great breakfast. Pity bout the frozen chips but what can you do.

Great food. Great deli. But pity about the seating in the mall as the number of people passing by makes it very distracting. But the food and choice thereof is excellent
