The aim of Pulp Press is to be a printmaking gallery that supports, develops and promotes printmaking in the Eastern Cape.
The aim of Pulp Press is to be a printmaking gallery that supports, develops and promotes printmaking in the Eastern Cape. In addition to being a gallery, it is hoped that Pulp Press can eventually be established as a professional printmaking studio which can be used as a facility for both participating and outside artists; as a site for collaboration between artists where Pulp Press could perhaps be responsible for printing editions for artists; and as a space where workshops can be given.
Making fine art prints more readily available, making printmaking more accessible, and displaying work that is worthy of being shown in a gallery as opposed to being vacuum-sealed and put in a drawer is Pulp Press’ greatest wish.
Many thanks to ArtEC for initiating this project and for sponsoring Pulp Press space within their gallery.
