Grounded in Truth
We believe in the Scriptures of the Old Testament and New Testament as being fully inspired of God, inerrant in very part, carrying the full weight of God’s authority and totally sufficient for life and godliness. Our church is thus committed to a high view of God’s Word, and we submit to what God has said in every area of life and ministry. Our worship involves the reading, praying, singing and preaching of God’s Word. We also demonstrate the gospel message through the Lord’s Supper and baptism of believers. We encourage expository preaching in our pulpit—preaching that seeks to identify what God’s original message was, and then clearly apply that to our lives today in a way that is understandable and relevant. Counseling with the pastors is available. Our approach is thoroughly biblical, using God's Word to both identify the core issues, and encourage godly resolution. Various small groups and seminars are held to ground our members in God’s eternal truth, and help them apply that daily.
Growing Together
"Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ, from whom the whole body, joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped, when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love." (Ephesians 4:15-16, ESV)
We believe that God’s intention for each Christian is to become mature in Christ, and that local church ministry assists this growth. A variety of different ministries exist to promote growth and Christlikeness. We believe very much in the need for godly relationships, and encourage both formal and informal interaction between our people, particularly across the generations.
Glorifying Christ
"...so that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you, and you in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ." (2 Thessalonians 1:12, ESV)
The goal of all things is to bring glory to God. The church exists to bring God glory, and so we are committed to that because Christ is infinite worthy of that. Our lives, ministries and acts of service should be motivated by the supreme desire to see Christ put on display. Our missions is fuelled by the need to see Christ’s glory acknowledged by all who live in a lost world. Our worship services are designed to be crosscentered, gospel-saturated and Christ-exalting.
We, the Randburg Baptist Church, in obedience to God’s Word, seek to glorify Him through worship, fellowship, evangelism, discipleship and missions, equipping the Family of God for spiritual maturity, while eagerly awaiting the Lord’s return.
