Randburg Magistrates Court

Thank you to the Security guards at the Randburg Magistrates Court for their EXCELLENT assistance of me and my guide dog when I was there this morning. They provided her with a mat see picture: beautiful and her own water bowl. I am visually impaired, and my guide dog highly trained from Guide Diogo SA goes everywhere with me. We were made to feel welcome and comfortable which alleviated the stress of the situation enormously!

All I know is that when I have had any legal and pressing matters where I require help everyone in this building is happy to help and direct me in the right direction. Patience is key and you will be assisted. Every matter I have ever come for has been sorted yet some days I have had to wait for hours which is painful yet worth it. They have all the Departments you can think of in this building . The only thing is make sure you are early as most places close at 1 some even at 11 for submission or collection of documents.

Accessible to public with enough space foe parking. Court numbers are easy to identify but the noises in the passage and non functional microphones are making it difficult to hear the outcome of the cases.

Some of the guards are helpful in assisting you in direction to get to your court number. You might want to budget more time than you are let in to. Some cases take longer than some. It could be an all day affair. At least there is a vending machine for snacks.

Typical long wait for anything to happen... uncomfortable benches and too few of them.... loads of lawyers! Feel like I'm at the bottom of the ocean being circled by dangerous sharks... parking is hectic too! Come prepared! Bring sandwiches!

Lovely people who are eager to assist with summons and the like. Thembi Mazibuko the supervisor however could learn a lot from her fellow colleagues. She is rude and interested in assisting anyone, she will look at you and walk past you ! This is an update it's 1542 and all the civil staff are gone home. How lovely. Maybe day 3 will prove successful. Working hours is definitely before 3.30

What is needed when you require a letter of demand from the court for someone to pay you back your money.

Very clean court! bathrooms clean... Security on the ball!!! but administrator feedback is poor - Postponement after Postponement, can't find court files - and when asked where is my file with my original documents... you get an answer "sorry for delay but your file not back from the magistrate - come back next week or phone for a court date" but the phones don't work / dont get answered.... prepare to take a trip once a week for two months going on 3 in April just to get an update that they cant find your file...

Im hapoy with the service face to face but, im struggling to phone them. In regards to my caee is there an alternative number i can call. This one goes off immediately

I would like to thank Mr Malaka for his assistance, even thou we were told that he is going to be so angry because it was late. He then gave us chance and advised us .thank you very much also to security guys.
