We have just returned from a two night stay where the four of us we were extremely happy with everything about this perfectly situated tented camp. So much attention to detail is practiced, the staff were exceptional. We will most certainly be back Rooms: Outstanding situation on the river, very private, beautifully appointed tented rooms. The linens were perfect and the housekeeping spot on. Nearby activities: Wonderful game drives led by super knowledgable Zach who has a particular interest in birds which this area is so well known for. Safety: Never an issue Food & drinks: On the whole very, very good. Presentation is beautiful and good choices for all palates
We spent 5 days here and had the most incredible time. Perched on the edge of the river, we didn’t have to leave our bed - let alone the tent or even camp - to see beards of elephants, buffalo or monkeys. The whole camp is structured on sustainable lines, 95% of staff come from the local community and there is a profit sharing between the camp and local village. Pafuri unlike much of Kruger does not have lions, but as a result the abundance of other animals is unbelievable. Compiled with the diversity of plants and birds apparently 70% of Kruger biodiversity is in the concession there was always something new to see. We were there for five days and despite having two drives a day everyday we saw a completely different landscape every time - from stunning Gorge views to fever tree forests or stopping for sundowners over the Limpopo. It was also almost totally empty of humans. With only 12 vehicles allowed in the 260km reserve, you were more likely to see elephants or giraffes than other tours. The food was delicious - far better than we ever would have expected given the remoteness and the staff were just so so attentive and friendly. Always willing to help and there with a smile or a joke, and that was reflected in the fact that most of the guests seemed to be there for multiple visits. Special mention of to André Webster, our guide. Only 21 but already seemingly had endless knowledge and chat about the park, animals and flora / fauna. Despite his love of snakes, and insisting on disturbing every venomous creature we passed, he really made the trip.
Wonderful stay good food service accommodation and walks as well asdrives.Rooms: 5/5
5 star treatment in the Kruger. The camp has a beautiful setting on the Luvuvhu, the staff are friendly, and the food is scrumptious.Rooms: 5/5
So often authentic experiences are gained at the expense of something or another. Not the case at Parfuri Tented camp. Our experience was perfect in every way and I cannot recommend it enough. The surroundings, sites, lodgings, staff and service were all excellent. Nothing felt out of place. The history of the concession and the community upliftment plan enhanced our understanding of the area and added an extra complement to our stay. We thoroughly enjoyed it and are eager to investigate further experiences by Return Africa.
This is one of the best Kruger Experiences ever and the staff are beyond friendly - superb food!
The best staff ever, fantastic food, wildlife experience whilst solitude and peace abound. Been here 6 times, will be backRooms: 5/5
I am a wedding photographer and had the huge privilege of being part of Lauren and Jonathan's special day. The lodge is situated next to the Luvuvhu River and we were able to see a hippo swimming near right from our room! It was just such a magical experience. Lauren and Jonathan had their ceremony under some beautiful trees and it was followed by an eventful drive and sundowners at the giant baobabs.
Absolutely everything a five star tented camp should be. Accommodation superb, staff exceptional, Field Guides of the very best, situation is paradise. Meals excellent. And the north of Kruger is really beautiful.Rooms: 5/5
This was our favourite safari location out of a treeweek trip! Andile was a blast! He is so knowledgeable, humble and just a lovely person. Instead of just randomly giving information he got super engaged. From birds, trees, leaves and tracking... we did it all with Andile! The food, views and overall staff was mindblowing. I would give 6 stars if I had that option ;
