I received some excellent advice from Lee Marcus of Robyn Hey Attorneys on choosing a course of action for an employee issue. Lee explained the options in a clear way, and the situation ended up being very peacefully resolved with the employee staying and improving, and we now have a process for performance management that we feel confident about, giving us the confidence to tackle performance issues head on. My HR manager and I also attended one of Lee's workshops on employment law/avoiding the CCMA/performance management vs misconduct, and the content was delivered in an engaging, entertaining and clear way. I'd recommend Lee for any employee performance issues, whether the CCMA has been mentioned yet or not but preferably before, or to conduct his training workshop for HR or management teams.
Excellent, professional help and the right advice. Real help, and no pressure to litigate... Just help to solve difficult problems.
