Excellent local transport museum with several vehicles with local connections, lots of information about transport in the area through history and one of the six Chitty Chitty Bang Bang flying cars used in the film! It has also has a small cafe for drinks & snacks. Volunteer-owned and run with friendly, helpful staff. Information boards include ones ideal for children. Several vehicles have a star to show you can get in them, including vintage buses.
Interesting place with a great variety of vehicles. Some of the sections can feel slightly cramped, especially the buses and trams, but clearly making the best use of their limited space. It's great that you can go on/in so many of the vehicles, makes much more of a connection. Highly recommend if you are in the area
Small but worth the visit. Kids are able to touch and get in some exhibits, which is good. Lucky enough to go when they had 007's Land Rover from Skyfall and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang on displayVisited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedYes

Amazing find that I never knew existed. This place is so fascinating for both adults and children. Children are allowed to enter certain vehicles. They also have a scavenger hunt which is great. The history of vehicles in this museum is just wondering. Could recommend to people of all agesVisited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Just had an amazing morning at the museum my son loved it. Everything about it was first class.. a special shout out to the wonderful staff who looked after us.. I would highly recommend a visit brilliant fun for all ages.
Had a great visit at the museum. We were first to arrive and we were welcomed by friendly staff right away. They have a great display of vehicles and museum is very accessible. I myself was able to fulfill a childhood dream of sitting behind the wheel of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. The guys that work are very easy to talk to and very friendly. I wish them well with the new facility when it gets up and running. In the meantime, the museum is worth a visit so go see them
Nicely laid out and good interactive videos and access to vehicles. However space limits range of vehicles and therefore I would not rate it highly on value for money.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
