Rossburgh Testing Grounds

Long ques that start outside the gate because they only take in so many people at a time. Process was good until the cashiers who should be the quickest but is the world's slowest in just accepting cash per application. Security and staff are informative and helpful EXCEPT for the cashiers

I got there at 5am it was still dark… Didn’t have an eye test the security guard said I should wait till I get inside if I want to be counted in the 60 they were taking for the day,mind you I was number 11 she saw my face we kept talking… 7:45 we get inside and take the forms then I leave for the eye test to come back 15 minutes later and find out I was now the last one in line. I stayed there till 3pm from 5am. The security said she can’t help me, even the officer that I asked politely while he gave me the form told me not to make his job harder. I was shaking from hunger and anger, would not recommend this facility.

Lines were long and the wait even longer. Spent +6 hours there, lined up from the morning. Some people waiting from before 4am in the line just to stand a chance of getting in. Staff are limited with equipment after damage from Durban floods, and apparently not much assistance from the department heads claiming no funds to restore. Currently only 2 working stations. Many were turned away as a result. Urgent intervention needed for provision of equipment for staff to function at full capacity. Very frustrating and disappointing experience for patrons.

Good day. I typing this message with a heavy heart and with no respect for the license department system or employee. People have been standing and waiting since early this morning to get seen to only to be told to leave. There is no system. No numbers been issued. Told that you have to sleep outside inorder to been seen to the next day. They have all the right and power to turn you aways ....Is that how the system works we are after all paying to re new our license it not for free. Without customers this Roseburgh station will make it as it is they don't have machines or even paper to issue number. Your system has failed this our People and system....pathetic.

Extremely slow service. Was there at 5am and only entered at 8:15. People were told to enter and park their cars and they cut the lines. They need to have some sort of order to know places In order to know who came first .

Renewing your driver's license at Rossburgh Licensing Department. To renew your license you must have:- - R250 - Pen - Eye test - ID Book not just a photocopy - Drivers license - Proof of Address - Lots of patience To get a temporary license you must have:- - R90 - 1 ID Photo - Plus everything above When you go, ignore all the queues and go directly to the security guard at the gate. He will tell you which queue to join. Each queue, there are 3 of them, is about an hour and a half to two hours wait, if it's not too busy. I had about 25 people in front of me. I got there at 8am, after dropping my child off at school, and got home at 1pm. Ensure that when you get your green form, which you have to fill in sections A, B and D, that you also get your ticket with your number on. It is incredibly slow. Follow the queues. Have lots of patience and make friends with the other people in the queue. I can guarantee that someone in there needs a smiling face to help them get through that ordeal. If you do not get your eye test done beforehand, there is an "optometrist" across the road, who will do an eye test for you for R50. If you need photographs, there is a kiosk inside the grounds who do photographs for R40 for 2, and also sells R5 pens. I will say, the whole process was very organised, everyone was very helpful, and the grounds themselves were very clean no strange smells wafting around. It just took soooooooo long. It was like time had stood still.

Wow what a change from my last visit. I recently did my drivers licence renewal. The staff were so friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to be of assistance. My handwriting is not the best. The one lady even helped me fill my form in which was a relief. The security staff are helpful and friendly. Chat with them and share a joke. The trick is to get there early and people be nice and polite some folks were very rude towards the staff which was uncalled for. They doing their best under difficult working conditions. Having been flooded not so long ago. Every one deserves a 10/10 for super service.

This place is extremely slow and inefficient. The lady in the photo has a terrible attitude and shouts at people for no apparent reason. Often shouts at people just asking what que to join. If this was a business she would damage business. She wears her mask on her chin and let's people in without a mask.

What a surprise. Dreading coming here.But this place is clean and well run. Staff are friendly, efficient and helpful except for Beauty. Has such an attitude with customers and even shouting at her supervisor. No understanding of a Affidavit. Such a pity one bad apple pulls the place down.

I must applaud both the management and the staff at Rossborough testing centre. I am 76 and was treated like a VIP both when applying to renew my driver's licence and when collecting. Speedy, efficient and oh so friendly. What lovely people. Thankyou Rossborough for your GREAT SERVICE! Judith
