I bought these things in February. My first encounter was when the TV stand drawer was not closing with the week of delivery. It was changed. The wardrobe came without the handles and when they were finally delivered they were not the size of the wardrobe. The people from Russell Westreet came and installed the old handles from the wardrobe that was on display in their shop. The TV stand, coffee table and wardrobe are just falling apart. I sent a complaint online and I was told to go to the store. I went to the shop in Durban Broad street to make a complaint on 20 November 2021 and no one has contacted me to date. I am very disappointed.
Bought a fridge from this store which works perfectly fine. My issue was with the delivery fee which was R400 for a 10 minutes drive. In their website it says that the delivery fee is calculated together with the product purchase price but it wasn't the case with me. When I asked why I was told that the cars don't belong to Russellbut the cars are branded Russell . Then I went on to ask why this "external" service provider doesn't have an invoice or anything that reflects this amount, I also didn't get an answer to that. There's no proof to say that I paid and that they received the delivery money. Communicated with someone from their head office who wasn't of any help at all. Glad to say that I will not be buying from this store, ever again.
Firstly i saw a bed written R5799 when we get to the cashier the price changed to R5999. I ended up paying R5999 because they said the sales lady will have to pay from her pocket if i don't pay R5999. Secondly they have a board that's written delivery fee is R295 from 1 to 50km. But they wanted mr to pay R400 for delivery. I paid R350. The Third one and the worst of all the bed is damaged they are refusing to come and fetch the bed and give me another one. Pathetic service
I have experience a very bad communication at Russell, sales store manager and truck delivery . I will never ever buy furniture at Russell stores once again angisoze.
Nice place need to be controll those people call them para and cleanliness and stop those people were drinking on street
