SAPS Hillcrest

My girlfriend went to the station to get a police clearance in October last year as she is a teacher and requires one for her job. We didn't get any response and she went back in May 6 months later to find out they don't have any record of it and she had to pay again for a new one. She could lose she job cause of this poor service. They can't even do simple things right.... Such a disgrace! Further to this, the department which does the police clearance is only open from 10-12

I have had an officer in to the house yesterday to report and incident. the next day and still no contact about a case number. I have called 5 times in the past 4 hours and there is never any answer. the phone lines just ring and ring and ring. looks like SAPS doesn't care about the people. Disgusting

There is no answering of the cell phones with the police service. Multiple cars almost got taken out by black Prado. I expect something to be done about this. Driver was clearly drunk white male. Male driver white late 40s early 50s. Please get hold of me so I can give you the video for the drivers number plate.

Absolutely shocking service received there today & a few days ago. Bad advice & simply couldn't give a hoot attitude. I shall definitely go & lodge a complaint with the station commander tomorrow as a matter of principle. I have done this there before. Don't deserve 1 star but no other way to get round this

The date is 22 July 2021 and the time is 10h28. Over the last half hour I've called the Hillcrest Police Station 21 times on the various telephone numbers that I have for the station. Out of the 21 attempts, 1 called was answered and I got put on hold for 5 minutes and then the call disconnected. I am absolutely shocked that one cannot reach your local police station telephonically. This is not the first time that I've experienced this.

you are simply useless , i have no idea why have a phone if you never answer the phone. WHAT THE POINT WE WANT TO REPORT BREAK-INS AND YOU JUST NEVER EVER EVER ANSWER WE MUST DIE FIRST THEN YOU COME . YOU ARE JUST SIMPLE USELESS I DNT KNOW WHY WE STILL TAXED FOR SUCH RUBBISH SERVICE.

I was met with a rude, arrogant and racist lady today when I was reporting a vehicle accident. I greeted her and she asked where the accident happened, I said Kloof, and she angrily asked why I haven't been there. I said I had, but they didn't have AR papers. Then she angrily asked why I didn't go to Pinetown police station. After she gave me the AR papers to fill out she left the room and muttered a sentence containing the word "mlungu". Utterly despicable.

Have been trying to call the station all morning, no reply. Why can't they use an answering machine if they are closed. Gun licensing officers wore no masks, and had no sanitizing alcohol to use before or after a visit to the office. No wonder they have positive Covid 19 cases. So frustrating.

The worse SAPS Police station. Zero customer service. Waited and waited no1 attended us. There was No1 at the front desk. Police officer who were coming into the station just went pass us. No one attended to us or even asked if we've bn helped. No hand sanitizers offered, only tempereture check.

I am so grateful to Const. S. Buthelezi for going above and beyond the call of duty for me. It was after 10pm on a Friday night when I went to Hillcrest police station, and I could not believe how kind and understanding he was. He stopped what he was doing the moment I walked in the door. He listened to me attentively, and when he spoke, he instantly reassured me and put my mind at rest. We're so lucky to have such dedicated and helpful officers in our area. It is a stark contrast to the other local police stations I've been to. Thank you, Hillcrest police station & Const. S. Buthelezi!
