In the heart of the Mother City, lies a 300 sq m restaurant and bar called SGT PEPPER Long Street.
What makes it SO awesome? Everything we do is aimed at ensuring Good Times. The venue has different areas, each with its own unique look and feel, catering for different personalities and different occasions.
Upon entering, you may be fascinated by our signature stencil artwork and our unique Tabasco chandelier, created by our Sgt Pepper crew.
Ascend the old wooden staircase and you’ll enter the rustic restaurant area featuring an 8-metre non-smoking bar where our bar crew serve numerous drink specials every day of the week, shake up some epic cocktails, or tempt you into trying our signature low flyer shooter.
The main bar offers everything from aromatic coffees to a selection of wines, available both by the bottle and by the glass. To quench your thirst, we have 7 beers on tap. Our Castle Lite Bar serves up its namesake, Black Label, as well as three Newlands Spring craft beers: Mountain Weiss, Passionate Blond and Jacobs Pale Ale. And then our Rock Bar offers Jack Black Lager as well as Jack Black Butcher Block Pale Ale.
The Red smoking bar, called the “Rock Bar”, will hit you harder than a Led Zeppelin riff! The interior – consisting of old frames holding legends such as Freddie Mercury, Jimi Hendrix, Bob Marley and Elvis Presley – will suck you into a world where free thinking is not for the brave, but is the norm. Seating is limited in the Rock Bar itself, but the adjacent foosball area and balcony may just accommodate those facebook friends and allow your party to take on a life of its own.
The balcony has a 180-degree view of Long Street. The hanging lights and beautiful features paired with wooden tables and black and white chairs complement the atmosphere in more ways than you can imagine.
Our kitchen operates daily from 11:00 and serves up a variety of dishes, from delicious snacks (for the not-so-hungry keen on catching the latest game while enjoying a Castle Lite or Black Label Selfie Tower) to salads and sandwiches for the lighter eaters as well as our signature gourmet-style pizzas and rock‘n burgers. Our kitchen closes at 23:00 and depending on the evening, the tables can be moved aside and the dining area instantly becomes a dance floor.
Our very efficient music system will ensure the legends of yesteryear along with other Good Times tunes are played in supreme quality.
