An outstanding experience, I would recommend this park and this lodge. Thanks to our guide Patrick we saw many animals it was wonderful! Just change the way you make baguettes it is not good ones.
I had a great experience at this destination with a staff that was truly outstanding. They went out of their way to ensure that I was comfortable and that all of my needs were met. However, there were limitations on privacy as it was not fully guaranteed. Although there were many opportunities to have a positive experience, it was important to note that privacy game drives may not be as pronounced as desired.
A lifelong dream fulfilled - to walk in the African Bush among the wild animals! Fabulous!

A fantastic experience - thanks Sian: We had, by virtue of word of mouth reports, high expectations of our three days two nights stay in the Reserve. Our expectations were not just met but significantly exceeded: Lovely accommodation, excellent food, wonderful setting but above all a fantastic wildlife experience. That brilliant experience was obviously down to the way in which the Reserve is stocked and managed but even more importantly was the contribution that Sian our Ranger made to our enjoyment. Sian was fantastic: personable, knowledgeable and always going the extra mile to ensure we got the most out of our stay; he is a superb ambassador for Shamwari, a class act.
Amazing! Amazing! Amazing! Family friendly, trustworthy, guest focused. If you are looking to stay at a game reserve in the area look no further. The entire experience from arriving at the gate to leaving on your last day is simply AMAZING. The extra money spent was well worth it. Thank you to all Shamwari staff and management for making our stay so great. We can only recommend a stay at this fantastic reserve, please keep up the good work both for yuour guests and for the animals.
Great place ! Beautiful landscape, great rooms and grounds, amazing safari tour guide who are so knowledgeable, fun and really work hard to give you the best experience. Everyone was so accommodating, from the managers, to the Safari guides, to the kitchen staff… everyone was so warm, remembered all of the guests’ names, and dealt with everyone’s requests on a personal level. Really amazing experience!
Shamwari Riverdene... Actually have no words for how magnificent our stay was here!!! I have NEVER been to such an exceptional holiday /bush establishment in all my life! From the rooms, to the kids, area, to the knock your socks off food and finally to the last best parts; ALL the incredible staff and impeccable service you are like family and we miss you already!, the best and most experienced game ranger we have ever had the privilege of meeting and spending time with, Jess, you are beyond words the most passionate, friendly and knowledgeable person we have met in the bush!!! We saw the most magnificent plains, ALL THE BIG 5, beautiful sunsets/sunrises and just felt like home being here. Our boys had an absolute ball here. You guys were just incredible, we are blown away!! I had a good cry when I left. Can't wait to see you all again! Thank you Shamwari!!!
Stayed at Long Lee Manor on the reserve. Hard to put into words how incredible an experience this place was. Our guide Abel was amazing and such a knowledgeable, passionate & remarkable person, it felt like a loss when we had to finally part ways at the end of the trip. The accommodation and scenery was stunning, and the service from all staff was the best I’ve ever experienced. If there was such a thing as 6 stars, then this place would have it.
Oh my goodness, this is la crème de la crème - it absolutely cannot get better than this ! Every minute of the Shamwari experience is superb . It is seamless perfection in the most beautiful environment.
