Was not happy with the state of the bathrooms. Mould everywhere. The bedroom was satisfactory. Breakfast was satisfactory with good range to choose from. Received an email /survey from Sun International after the stay requesting to rate the stay which I've done and hope that action can be done regarding the state of the bathroom. I suggest having a small lounge area incorporated into this Lodge because there is none.
Terrible breakfast. Even though it was part of the package went to eat elsewhere. Would not recommend it. Simple things like a cappuccino are extra and its the machine made poor quality. No bread selection, no rolls. If you want toast go stand in the line for about 20 minutes and your options are white or brown bread, that's it. Rye bread, the look of confusion was priceless, don't even bother. Same with eggs, one cramped window serves everyone. If you enjoy standing in a one window queue for 20 minutes for a fried egg, this is the place for you Fruits with yogurt, some tired-looked canned peaches and guava that have seen better days and melon, whoop de doo. At least the melon was fresh and not canned. If the breakfast isn't part of the package they charge you R220.00 but your machine-made latte, not included. Better value at your local Fego or Wimpy Re the room, I'm guessing at R1700 night room a bar fridge or even ice is just too much to ask for. If going to Sibaya, avoid the lodge.

I stayed at the Sibaya Lodge from the 10th to the 12th of April 2022. The weather was extremely cold and rainy during this period. The hotel room was freezing cold and when I had asked the receptionist if the airconditioner had a heating function, she had said no. The room was terribly cold and unpleasant. On the day of check out I had forgotten my USB on the TV and I called in 2 hours later to inform the hotel and had asked them to check and keep the USB for me and I would pick it up. The unfriendly staff that answered the phone replied "we will keep it if we find it". I called again a few days later and another unfriendly staff member said that they would call me back after checking the lost and found box, I was never contacted. I called for the third time on the 18th of April and the receptionist told me that the USB was not found. Never forget any of your belongings once you check out as you will get no help from the staff. I will never stay at this hotel again.
Very poor customer service, staff is not trained to be customer friendly. Doesn't seem part of Sun international brand. Breakfast is no no. Staff at breakfast is a HUGE NO GO AREA. This is not what a buffet is with rude staff making you feel uncomfortable.Rooms: 2/5
Friendly staff and good service
Worst accommodation i have stayed in. Noise levels are extremely high at night, forget about a good night's rest. Prepare to freeze in Winter because their aircons do not have a heat function. You will be standing in blocked and overflowing drains while showering. Coffee is served luke warm at breakfast, don't ask the staff for a hot cup of coffee, they get arrogant and frustrated. The omlette had hair in it. The safes do not work, no microwave or fridge in the rooms. A very cold and unfriendly atmosphere from staff. I Will never be visiting this place again and I will not recommend this place to anyone. It is a waste of money and my weekend was ruined because of this poor choice of accommodation. A very misleading 4 star rating.
Its a gorgeous place to go with family. My kids loved the pool..they enjoy swimming .. my family loved being there..they used the wifi for you tube..we got to dance and hear our latest jams. The breakfast was yummy..theres an assortment of breakfast goodies to choose..
pethetic service we ask for food warm about 7 in evening and they said close cant help microwave is locked then we asked one of a friend to bring microwave becz there is only one place halaal and thats nandos we already ate and they still didnt allow them inside saying no u cant take anything inside to warm food i mean really do u really have to be so hard no plates to use no spoon we have stayed in different sun internationals but this have been the worse in service not again never will i ever refer any of my family or friends to come here arrogant staff
