Terrible, terrible service from the cashiers. Once in a blue moon there will be someone that is nice. Please go to Monument Park Spar and learn how to work with customers. You have a cashback service but there is never money accordingly to the cashiers. It's always a issue. Then bring back the ATM that was there. You buy something new. Next time it's just not there. Tops staff are very friendly and helpful. Checkers at Forest Walk will definitely see me more.. As well as Monument Park Spar.

The best cooked food. Better than any supermarket in Pretoria east and better than your mother's. I drive past a lot of shops to this one for cooked food

Today i have encountered racist cashiers who told me to go back to my country. I cannot believe how managers let racist cashier deal with customers in the area where embassy staff of different countries live.

I always get what i need at this store and leave satisfied, regardless of the sub-par service. Today the service was exceptionally horrible. I was assisted by Maria, Till 2, Cashier 29. Impolite, horrible stinking attitude!!!!!!! She stared at me, didnt bother greeting. I asked whether they ran out of intimate wash cause i couldnt find any and rubbing her stomach with one hand, operating the till with one, she said, " I dont know what Intimate is" the till packer, said please check there by the magazines, we moved some stuff there... I mean why should i be treated like this, as of ek die goed op skuld koop???? I pay money for these goods its not a favor. I deserve to be treated with respect. I travel from very far to this store, because they have certain products in store that other shops don't, but the service is Ridiculous!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love shopping at SPAR in Newlands, they are open early and the shop is clean. The employees are always friendly and helpful. This morning however, I experienced rude service from a cashier, who clearly didn't learn anything from client services. I am greatly dissapointed with the way she handles clients. This incident will stick with me and it is not in my nature to get upset about nonsense, but we know the devil always finds a way.

Their self-serve pay per grams prepared food veggies, meat, fish, etc is the best ever !!! It tastes like my grandma's Sunday lunches. And very reasonably priced. My life changed after I discovered it. HIGHLY recommended.

Today I was at this Spar in the morning with a friend and a security guard was following us in the shop like we were there to commit a crime of some sort, I wasn't sure at first but then I noticed that when I move from one aisle to another he's also moving, to confirm what I thought I was imagining, I moved from the cool drink aisle to the butchery and then to the bakery, he still showed up, I don't want to play the black on black race card but it's so uncomfortable to be followed around the shop while you're minding your business and everyone else is shopping freely. I confronted the security about that and he denied it, I didn't want to take it further as I was in a hurry, I doubt I'll ever shop here again. An unhappy customer.

Very good Spar. Have a very wide variety of goods, fresh and tinned/bottled. Very good take away section esp over the weekend. Very nice biltong and dried sausage section - always fresh and well packed and suitable as gifts. Highly recommended
