I am generally a fan of Spar stores and do my weekly shopping at my local Monument Park Spar, but as I happened to be driving through Moreletta Park I decided to try this branch and was disappointed. Many products were not priced so I had to keep asking assistants and one item was mis-priced at the till requiring that I took the cashier to see the advertised price in the aisle. Also their range of products was less than my local Spar and the eggs marked as special offer were sold out. My final upset was being told by the security guard that I couldn’t take a photo of the shop which I needed for this review, but I took it anyway.

Seriously disappointed with the manager. I know their wine rack closes at 3.30pm on a Sunday. I was in the Spar at 3.15pm and got my groceries and a box of wine. There were no signs up yet to say the wine section was closed and the security chap told me it's fine. Got to the till at 3.30pm and was told I can't purchase the wine. Discussed the situation with the manager only to get an awful and arrogant response. Maybe put up signs earlier for the customers already in the store and sort out the rude manager.
Just had the worst attitude of a staff member, Jafta, who was outside making boerewors rolls when we entered. It smelled amazing so I paid for 3 when I got to the till. When I went outside he had left and the friendly guy at the door went to go look for him. He found him and told me and my wife to go to the kitchen. We went there and Jafta told me he is already closed but how much do I want, in the most disrespectful way. I told him to leave it and went to the manager to get a refund. The manager spoke to Jafta as well and he started back-chatting the manager and said he is going to make the boerewors rolls now. If the company does not issue Jafta with at least a final written warning for placing the company's name in disrepute and insolence, then it will be clear that they do not respect their customers and disrespect is not punishable. You have my number as it was on the slip for the refund, kindly let me know what are the disciplinary steps taken against Jafta.
Not happy at all with the experience I received today. I have an international bank account and have been using it for 4 years when I come and visit. My husband literally used my card 2 days prior to my visit. The card declined and he then told them to use the wireless nedbank pay station. They easily helped him. Now two days later I come, card declined and they refused to help me. I felt like a thief. The manager Abrie made me feel so at ease. But there's an older lady with white hair that was extremely rude. Couldn't even make eye contact with me or talk to me directly. I had to go outside and withdraw money from my international card just to pay for the few pieces of groceries. Now what makes me angry is the fact that my husband used that same exact card 2 days ago. And that I have been using at all other major grocery shops without any issue. Needless to say, I will never support a Spar again. I felt so ashamed in the store. Worst service ever.
Disgusting! Superspar Moreleta Park Management - have you tasted the rubbish placed on a table at the front of your store that is masquerading as hot cross buns? If I was not going to waste more in petrol I would bring this disaster back - even a 2 year old's play dough cookies taste better! But then again, I see you only respond to the 5 star reviews on here because they stroke your ego, focus on the negatives where there's scope for improvement ‍
Went there on 15 June 2023. It's a good mall with the necessities. Friendly staff and fast tellers.
As always, the experience was pleasant, fast and efficient. The staff was really helpful.
Always have the specials available Fresh produce I experienced this Spar as the best in this area
Awesome.....with smiling till operator's.
