to collect a card that has expired. i waited more than 45mins and the queue does not move. personnel walk up and down but nothing is happening. customers are complaining...when i approach the front desk to inquire they say they cannot give me a time frame and giving me their logistical shortfalls. this is unacceptable. service delivery is the focus to maintain customer relations. we the reason you there!!!! i am becoming more and more frustrated with standard bank...take a look into Capitec and the service they give their customers
I would like to Congratulate the front staff for doing their best to accommodate everyone. To Mogadi who so ably assisted me, thank you. To the gentleman taking temperatures and the young lady at reception thank you for assisting me and being so pleasant. Yes it took an hour but that was due to the covid regulations, one has to wait at all the other banks. If you can't wait then rather come early on another day. Once again THANK YOU!
Waited 30 minutes and still wasn't served. There were 3 people serving customers and then one decided to go for lunch leaving 2. When I said at the front that I was leaving they said that I had been called which I most certainly hadn't been. You guys need to sort out your queuing system and get more staff helping customers
The receptionist will try to get you to leave, very unhelpful if you're not white. Watched as he spoke in length, touched, laughed and even made a plan for a woman without an ID for all white customers. Yet he demanded registration from a university as a dated student cardwhich was asked for would not be good enough! Luckily, we got help from a consultant. We're still closing his account though, Nedbank offers better service and rates. I hope they close this branch like they did in Lyttelton!
Probably the worst Standard Bank branch in the country. Waited in a queue that doesn't move for more than 40 minutes. Was told I could close an account over the phone, which I have now found out is not the case. And they failed to link my correct account to internet banking. DO NOT visit this branch.
This is the absolute WORST Std Bank branch. Staff is extremely rude, long waiting periods for no good reason. They refused to let my 1 year old baby in without a mask! Isn't that agains the law! Do NOT visit this branch!
I seldom go into a Standard bank branch so I don't know if my experience can be extrapolated to other branches. It took Standard bank over 50 minutes to change my personal details. No the que was not that long at help desk, each of three stations and another two in que in front of me occupied. The three staff members were just that slow and relaxed. In thier area was a broken chair they all kept having to push around to get it out of the way instead of dealing with it. One was constantly bothering the others to do things for her and their appears to be a training issue. I believe simple things contributed, they for instance shared a stapler. Really where is the manager?
One consultant have to wait for 6 people to be see before I can collect my card and have been here for 1/2hour. Standard Bank has the worst service in south African worst-case
Waiting time to see a consultant is ridiculous. Have been waiting more than an hour and counting. And it is not something that I can access with internet, cellphone or banking app - i have to visit the branch. Get out of the stone age please. People have lives.
Horrible branch. Normally long waits just to collect cards or make deposits.
