Star of the Sea Catholic Church: Langebaan

Attended service at this chapel while on vacation. Wonderful Sunday mass and a beautiful church.

Beautiful service. It was a big wedding and everyone was smiling and enjoyed the service. The church looked amazing in the photographs and the Priest. Well he was great. The congregation were attentive and enjoyed his rapport with the bridal party.

Lovely intimate little church. Ample parking. Slat windows maximize the cool sea breeze to keep interior cool during summer. Please note Mass times have changed, due to Covid. Phone parish priest to confirm times and seating availability, due to social distancing. Masks compulsory. Really enjoyed being able to go to church after not being able to do so for seven months, due to lockdown. Some procedures during Mass has been adapted due to COVID. Collection box in entrance hall, no Holy Water, no queue for communion and we didn't sing. Really miss the singing but will appreciate it more when the pandemic is over. Wheel chair access.
