Apartment photos online were not what true to what the place looked like, despite the grounds and some facilities being well maintained- we were told that there's a jacuzzi- it was empty, we were told about a cocktail bar- it was never opened- LOTS OF FALSE ADVERTISING... We didn't have hot water the first night, we phoned the on site manager to report the issue- she told us that we should've reported the issue earlier in the day... Sorry that we're adults and don't take a shower at 4pm ... Anyway, the issue was only sorted out the next morning. There are signs everywhere stating that we can't play music, but then the bar was blearing music until some ungodly hour of the morning. Our 3rd night there, we decided to do to the pub, play pool and have drinks- the ladies managers? decided to close every single window and door of the bar and smoke up a storm in there, with no regard for the non-smokers... The place was also advertise as a fishing spot, but there boats constantly being launched and racing around there, making it impossible to actually fish.... Then the morning we left, the workers came to our apartment and asked for food, money, drinks etc that we didn't finish over the weekend.. The guy who fixed the geyser expected us to pay him for this- we paid for accommodation, not sure why we should've paid him? They made us feel guilty for having a weekend away. Despite all the other issues we had, this is the biggest deterrent for us. Completely unacceptable

Avoid at all costs. Unless you want to listen to club music drilling through your ears until 2am. As campers, we are not allowed to listen to music, however Steve's Place "club on site" can play invasive music until literally 2am. What an unpleasant experience.
Very nice place but there is absolutely no control from management and security. Day visitors do what they want, even gets onto the boats taking pictures, damaging your porperty the bar doesnt keep to their liquor license hours and serves alcohol to minors 13 years old fighting at the bar, loud music till 2 am no one can sleep. I will not bring my family here again. After paying R7500 what a dissapointment.
Neat clean. Gardens looks great. Overall friendly respectful staff. Bookings need some work. For the staff and manageress that assisted us on short notice thank you and well done. We will come visit resort again

We had an absolutely wonderful time as a family here with our barman and barlady mark and lintjie with the completely family friendly vibe they provided letting us entertain both adults and children without worrying about a thing they took cair of us from the start 5 stars you 2 you made our weekend will be seeing you again soon
Arrived not knowing what to expect entering I noticed the willows, the beauty of the place. Leaving, after a few days, there was a sence of fulfillment & pleasure of being cool, calm & collective, the service & amenities were most enjoyable. Thank you.
The workers at Steve's place were very helpfull and friendly when we arrived. Our stand was very neat and clean. We did not catch any fish at all which was really sad for us. Although Steve's place is so neat we had a few issues. First one was that there is only one toilet per ablution, this was a major problem as there were a lot of little children who could hardly hold back and were potty training...a big No No!. Second problem for us was the Matric boys who misbehaved and stuffed up the mens toilet...how disappointing!!. Then...the swimming pools were occupied by alot of youngsters drinking....which resulted in others not being able to use it. I really was shocked to see how grown men took their beer bottles into the enclosed warm water swimming pool which clearly stated No drinks or Glass bottles allowed. Needless to say...that is a safety hazard as there are little children swimming there. I have to say the campers were really awesome and friendly and the atmosphere at the campsite was really great. I do recommend that Steve's place upgrade their bathrooms and build more toilets. Overall Steve's place was not to bad.
Nice atmosphere and great facilities. Well worth a day visit, pricing slightly steep for families. Overnight and weekends far more reasonable.
