The Swiss Country Club JHB is open to the public Tuesdays to Sundays, so come and visit this beautiful venue for a Lunch/Dinner or a Sundowner with incredible views into JHB. For enquiries and/or bookings you can contact the Club Secretary on 011 805-3039 between 10am and 4pm Tuesdays to Fridays.

I would rate the mutton bunny a 5/10, maybe my expectation was too high with recommendations received. Bread didn't seem fresh and meat was tough. Overall it was a tasty curry.
Nice setting and atmosphere. Ample convenient parking. Had a bunny. Was not grand at all. Meat was overcooked and lacked texture. Overall taste was just not good. Waited 30 mins for them to simply put the curry in a plastic tub and give us cut bread and a packet of salad.
Friday Biryani special was delicious... And portions were more than adequate. Need to set aside more time for Friday lunch now. Best at the place... On the patio looking out into the garden.
I was there last night with some friends and let me tell you the arrogance of Devan! Sies!! He has no respect for his customer at all. I have heard the stories before,never believed them but last night I saw with my own eyes. When Wolgang was in charge not once did i ever experience anything as horrific as last night.
Old establishment Very neat and warm. Has a indoor bowling alley which looks like it’s hardly used. Indoor and outdoor seating. Lovely serene setting with kids play area and jungle gym. Has a bar/restaurant/conference room. Had a 2 day company conference here. The first day a light lunch was served which was really good with pies, samoosas, chicken, sausages etc. I was catered for very well being a pescatarian. Our choice for dinner was also quite delish which was a braai option served with yummy salads papa/mushroom sauce and to end of with a a winter dessert in summer - nevertheless which was good. Our light breakfast which was mainly sweet, then tea time sandwiches and lunch which was also yum. I will recommend this venue for conferences etc however the security needs to be improved as one of my staffs Ranger was stolen on the first night.
Awesome food! Not many people were there so it felt a bit funny eating alone. Apparently not many people know that it's open to the public non-members. Friendly staff and high standard Swiss food!
2022/08/13 Came to watch the Bokke play the All Blacks and had dinner while we were here. The menu prices a lamb curry with 2 roti's at R98. When we got our bill, we were charged R110. The waitress said the prices have gone up, but I said the price on the menu is R98. She apologised and said there was nothing she could do even after speaking to the manager. This will be the last time we come eat here.
One of the few restaurants that are still very unique and have a lovely atmosphere. This is one old Club, it has been every locals favourite spot for a beer and einstein or any German inspired meal. It is still deep in its cultural roots and holds a special place in my heart as they have great service, the scenery is just so Eastern and Western European, the food is always aylt a competitive ratez giving you what you pay for. This venue often holds festivals, such as beer Fests and sporty events such as bowling. Unfortunately there is no pool or pool table but there is a big outdoor and indoor space, a bar, lovely and clean bathrooms, there is always entertainment and the whole vibe is very foreign giving you the experience you look for. Quite impressed, the security is very tight as it is enclosed with a gate and guards. Definitely my local favourite. X
Delicious food and excellent service... Big screen television for the sport and a great outdoor area for sunny days!
1st time visit, the service was great, Saturday the 10th July 2022, it took over an hour for us to get our order,they didn't have ribs,or lamb shank, had to order alternative and waited for the food forever likely the food is tasty. I'm hoping for a better experience 3rd time around
