I had to retract my 5 star review from 5 year ago. The service is deteriorating to a point where i will find new suppliers from items bought here. We buy a lot from Takealot, but they seems to only employ cheap and illiterate staff. You would have a ticket, and need to explain EVERYTHING to them from scratch, and then still have them mess it up. They sent me the wrong item, 3 weeks later, still unresolved, actually managed to make it worse. I offered to purchase the incorrect item, just send invoice and i'll pay, but send me the item i paid for. While i was out, the item was collected, and now it is gone was a rare color watch, gift to my wife. Now, no response, still missing my watch. Do not support them, we got by without them, they have no interest in customer service, just in building more warehouses.
Order vouchers thinking it would be a quick a easy way of resolving shopping. I paid immediately, 3 hours later still not received. Tried phoning and call just ended on 5 occassions and then ran oit of credit on my phone. Eventually spoke to a very pleasant lady who promised to sort this out .... 2 hours later, still nothing!!!
When you say your delivery will take place on a certain date, please keep to that date. I make special arrangements to be at home on that date to receive the package. Now I am at work and receive a message that package will be delivered prior to the date I was given, nobody is at home for receiving. Taking into account the fuel prices, you can save by stick to original plan. Other than that you service is great.
I am disgusted by the takealot delivery team. First of all, the order has been delayed for more than 2 days now. When they finally deliver, they stop 700meters from the entrance of my building, very rude on the phone telling me I must come find them. They look like they have no neatness or cleanliness. I am then told I need to carry the table +-20kg on my own to my office 700m away, because the parking is too tight. I do not see why this is my problem, I am also then told I need the exercise! which I found funny since I weigh 72 and I am quite fit lol. Will not use takealot in a hurry. UTTERLY DISGUSTED! Think twice before you get anything from Takealot these days.
Update: changing to one star as I feel like I am being trolled by takealot now. They send me an SMS every single day that my order is out for delivery and should reach me between 08:00 and 17:00. I spend my whole day at home so I don't miss it, but they never show up ------------------------------------++ Service at Takealot is deteriorating by the day! They are no longer the good speedy reliable service. I placed my order on the 25th of November, paid for my order and delivery fee despite being a pretty expensive order. Despite paying delivery fee, estimated delivery was scheduled for the 6th of December. Now I receive multiple messages saying my order is delayed, delivery date further changed and my order will be split into multiple deliveries. I am slowly but surely starting to give up on this slow service.
My order has been confirmed delivery every single day since the 6th of December 2022. My order was placed on the 23rd of November and today we are sitting on the 15th of December I have placed an order on the 25th and I have received that package, I have placed another order on the 7th of December I have received that package last order I placed was on the 13th of December and that package in en-route.
It was a breeze picking up our latest speaker stands. The staff were absolutely on point and didn't waste a second of time. Clear communication and received our goods in perfect condition.
It was a bit difficult to find the entrance on Google led me to the wrong side but other than that, the place looks very nice and their system is up to date in terms of technology. The process of collecting my items went very smooth quick and easy. Really impressed!
IM VERY VERY DISSAPOINTED WITH YOUR SERVICE.. I ORDERED A BILATERAL ELECTRIC BREAST PUMP THAT COMES WITH A FREE BABY BAG. IT GOT DELIVERED WITHOUTH THE BAG AND I CALLED ON THE 06th/12/22 TO SCHEDULE A RETURN AND IT WAS CONFIRMED THAT THE ITEM WILL COLLECTED SAME DAY AND WAS NEVER COLLECTED. I HAVE BEEN CALLING AND CALLING EVER SINCE AND BEEN PROMISED EACH DAY THAT IT WILL BE PICKED TILL TODAY THE 15th. I HAVE BEEN PUT ON HOLD FOR OVER AN HOUR BY YOUR CALL CENTER AND WHEN THERES AN AGENT THAT PICKS THE PHONE, NO ONE IS TALKING INSTEAD IM MADE TO LISTEN TO A HIPHOP MUSIC PLAYING ON THE BACKGROUND FOR A GOOD HOUR...IM SO DISGUSTED BECAUSE THIS WAS SOMEONE'S CHRISTMASS GIFT
The new pick up point in Richwood, Richmond Park, Cape Town is amazing, with quick, efficient and friendly staff. The new warehouse looks awesome and inviting, offering ample parking and access to the warehouse is also very easy. Definitely my new favorite pick up point! Thanks Takealot
