We are a small comfortable B&B in the suburbs of Phalaborwa, Limpopo,
South Africa.
3 minutes drives from the maginificent Kruger National Park and home to the
big five.
We can organise Safari trips, game viewing, birding safaris, art safaris ,

Home from home. Amazing, I can't add more. Spent Christmas at Tandala. Maddie and Jannie when over and above putting on an incredible buffet. Even with the rain it's an amazing place. Somewhere just to relax and chill out. Now Easter relaxing, weather amazing,not many animals but you are sure to see something. If you are stressed visit Tandala

I have seen quite a few amazing places in this beautiful world but when I came here I was just breathless.  This is really unbelievable. I don’t even think I have the words to describe the experience.  This is just a must do Camp when going on a Safari.  The owners really manage the camp so passionately and you can really feel their love for the surrounding animals.  They have names for the elephants that visit them frequently.    The staff is amazing and it’s a family spirit throughout the camp, from the Maasai guards to the kitchen staff.  They have all worked together for ages.  An amazing camp I will definitely be here again and again

Huge thanks to Dionysia, Yannis, Georgia and all the staff at Tandala for an idyllic stay. We were offered a warm welcome from our hosts both human and elephant! and felt very well taken care of. The team went above and beyond to accommodate our group's dietary requirements and to make us feel at home. An added bonus was the wide variety of animal visitors to camp, including elephants, kudu, impala and even a leopard! We were protected by the Masai at all times, but it was amazing to have such an abundance of sights right on our doorstep. Asante sana to Tandala, and I hope to be back soon!

Truly a fantastic place to stay. Beautiful surroundings and wild animals just behind the corner. Very welcoming and friendly staff. The rooms were fantastic, a truly unique experience, being able to fall asleep listing to the sounds of the wild animals. Great dinner served under the sky during night time. Breakfast and lunch was also great. If you ever plan to visit Tanzania , come and stay here, highly recommended!

Absolutely wonderful and highly recommended. Excellent food, friendly staff, owner shares his extensive knowledge of the animals and the area. Our guide on Safari, Damian, was so knowledgeable of all the animals we saw and spoke good English. We did a full day Safari and had Ruaha Natl Park all to ourselves. Could watch the animals without rushing. If I could give Tandala ten stars, I would.

We stayed for 3 nights @Tandala Tented Camps & Safaris Ltd We've got a warm welcome and introduction about safety in the camp. It's located so near the Ruaha National Park that elephants and other wild animals do visit Tandala frequently. The lodges were well equiped, the food was soooooo good!! We made a lot of music during the evenings @ the campfire, together with the masai. It was a great experience for everyone

Tandala is wonderful...accommodation, wildlife drives and  attention to detail by staff and owners.  The special care for my gluten-free diet was unsurpassed and had my very first tiramisu ever!  Guides were fun and knowledgeable and we saw great wildlife.

Stayed here for two nights only but I'll remember it the rest of my life! First you'll watch elephants coming to the close by water hole in the evening, then you may also catch to see a Leopard sneaking around and in the morning you'll wake up due to the noise of a buffalo herd visiting - amazing! Besides, the tents are nice and clean, the food is excellent, Massai warriors are protecting you and John Yannis is just a great host!!

I love Tandala. Been there only twice so far but it's my perfect bush experience. No dusty game drives, I just sat in a plush leather couch and watched the animals come to the water hole. Herd after herd of elephant take their turn. Masses of kudu, warthog etc and so many birds. We saw lion spoor in the camp so was thankful for the ever present Masai when going to the tent at night. The tents are cool and comfy with plenty of hot water from solar water heaters. Margaret mans the pub efficiently serving ice cold Ndovus. It gets hot there and the pool is very welcome. Soooo peaceful and relaxing

Dionisia, John and their whole staff were lovely. We had a great time, it was the perfect break we needed. They made us feel right at home and welcomed our loud and crazy group. Definitely recommend Tandala. The guide was great and Ruaha is a special place.Service: 5/5
