Definitely a nice atmosphere especially during a rugby game. However I feel that the food as well as the drinks are definitely overpriced. I don’t mind spending the extra but most dishes here don’t give you the impression of the extra amount you are spending. I’d rather visit a different restaurant where this is not the case in future.

What a pleasant experience from beginning to end! Our waitress Thembi was very attentive and super friendly Cocktails excellent, Starters excellent, Mains excellent. Will definitely be back for more when visiting JHB again

The service was excellent, remember to ask the waiter for their special dishes everyone is very friendly and always available to help. The food is delicious.

One of my favourite places when I'm in the area. Food & service are excellent but if you're a small eater, be aware that the portions are huge! The starters could be a main course! They lost one star because we wanted a bottle of non-alcoholic bubbly but they didn't stock it! Not catering for non-drinkers will put me off entertaining teetotal clients here again.

Food was absolutely amazing. As Always. I Had the Prawn Pasta, tastes as delicious as it looks. Another in our group had the chicken and it was more chicken than expected, so great value for money.Food: 5/5

Had a good meal Asked for 2 punnets to take home our left over steak, To my absolute horror and shock I seperated the 2 punnets and there were at least six cockroaches in the one punnet!!!!! Benji the manager appologised and offered to take our staters of the bill What a joke, we used to frequent this place and will not be going back

We Celebrated our Anniversary ON 23 November 2022 and what a disaster @ The Baron Bedfordview. I made the booking on dineplan stating it is our anniversary and do effort was done. Ordered the Haloumi started and it was drenched in Sweet chili sauce. Had the Ribeye for mains and it was tasteless not even the garlic sauce i ordered separate made it taste better. The Head chef/GM also agreed that the ribeye was terrible, blunt cutlery are given to you to eat steak. Tomahawk steak is a club steak on a bone and very thin. THE WORST ANNIVERSARY EVER AND I LOOKED LIKE A FOOL. Kind Regards Chantelle von Wielligh

I like a restaurant that you can park right outside. Friendly staff, warm Sunny windows… Parmesan chicken breasts were tasty. A little more Chicken on the Chicken burger would’ve been nice. Lovely fresh salad & friendly staff… spacious family spot.

The one thing that I was most impressed with was the service. As with any restaurant when things go wrong, it is all about how the situation is managed and to what lengths the staff will go to make things right. In our case when the meat was not cooked as requested, a fresh new plate was preapared. As well as seating arrangement and other requests. Food was also great.

After frequenting all the other restaurants in the centre we finally decided to give The Baron a try. Boy was it worth it! Their specialty steak was nothing short of spectacular, a must-try. The setting was a bit sombre and the pricing is a tad expensive.
