Established in April 1997, and taken over by new owners in May 2014, the Blue Crane Restaurant and Bar is located on the waterfront of one of the lakes of the beautiful Austin Roberts Bird Sanctuary in the heart of Pretoria.

The Blue Crane Restaurant and Bar offers a variety of pleasing dining venues, alongside the lake of the Austin Roberts Bird Sanctuary. Whether it be the open-air freedom of the upper decks and the brand new 'boma' or the surroundings of the newly renovated upstairs bar, we have the right venue to cater for your individual taste.

"The Blue Crane Restaurant and Bar is situated in the heart of Pretoria next to the Austin Roberts Bird Sanctuary. The entire venue has been renovated extensively in 2014.We offer various exciting areas, ideal for private or corporate functions, including our formal dining area next to the fireplace, a brand new coffee deli on the outside deck of the extended restaurant and our classy upstairs bar with its own deck overlooking the dam and the bird sanctuary.We cater for all sorts of functions, for example, birthdays, kitchen teas, bridal showers, graduations and even weddings! We went the extra mile by building a custom jungle gym for all our younger patrons which adds even more value to your unique experience."
