My wife and I went here on an impromptu date night to celebrate some recent good family events. Fortunately we went in the late afternoon and they had a table for us; I would definitely recommend reservations in the future! The thing that impressed us the most was that the people who came to talk to us about the menu and specials were extremely knowledgeable about the food, and could make recommendations based on what you like. This is not something that we've found often in SA. Everything we had was very good. If one thing stood out it was the cheesecake. It's a German style, which I had not had before. It's quite possibly the best I have eaten. Very light but not crumbly, the perfect density and texture. It's worth going back just for that!
Pachas hosted my 50th birthday party. The first time I went to Pachas was for my 21st. The food and service were impeccable. I don't know how you always get it right. I received so many compliments from my guests. They will all return. Thank you Pachas.Food: 5/5
Had an amazing time, great vibe, excellent service and AMAZING food. We got a fillet and calamari mains. Had oysters for starters and they were tasty! 100% recommend.

Amazing service, with the most amazing food and best tasting cheesecake I’ve had in Pretoria so far. Had the chef’s recommendation and I enjoyed every bite of my meal. Was truly one of the best dinning experiences I’ve had thus far. Expect to pay for quality that is so worth the price.
Mind-blowing! Fantastic food, a great wine selection and exceptional service combined with prices which, while high, are not ridiculous given the quality and quantity of the servings, make this a great venue for special occasions. The maitre d'hotel who comes around and explains the specials is an absolute treat! All in all a really good experience.

We drove from Durban and we were really hungry. Googled restaurants nearby and Pachas came up. We were wowed by the friendly staff when we entered . The ambience was great... We had the Carpaccio and calamari starters..for mains we chose the duck ..lamb shoulder..trout and chicken schnitzel..every meal was excellent..just one recommendation though....the chef should make the mash from scratch ...the mash was flavored nicely but was not freshly made mash . We need more restaurants in South Africa like Pachas. ..
Pachas is a traditional Pretoria restaurant that has been around though at different venues much of my life. A little on the pricey side so for us a special occasion venue, it brings back memories of 18th birthday meals and special anniversaries for our family. The food does not disappoint, the portions are very generous for fine dining so big men won't go home hungry :- and absolutely delicious and the plating is beautifully done. Service is prompt and good. We celebrated a birthday and got spoilt despite us being completely full with a lovely happy birthday desert and a sparkler. Definitely recommending a visit.
Maybe it was poor luck but getting Eisbein, as the chefs special, the day after a festival will stay in my heart for a long time. Their food is amazing and their staff have a good sense of humour.Food: 5/5
