The Hangar Cafe

I had a delicious chicken and bacon wrap. The portion was fair and came with both fries and a simple salad. The coffee was good. The space is tastefully decorated, with some lovely references to local history. I especially appreciated that they sold books by what seems like local authors concerned with the regions history and stories. The view towards the lawns and hill is lovely. Frequented by many locals. A perfect stop when one is tired of the road.

Its a privilege to be located just a stones throw away from this little gem. The Hangar Cafe is situated just shortly off the R56 at the junction into Richmond. Its entrance boasts a pretty little edible food garden. Seating options are both inside and outside with beautiful views. Quaint little gift shop inside with lots of hand made products ranging from soaps, jewellery, oils and so much more. The chicken salad is my favourite and of course, the most delicious cheers cake. If you looking for a quick peaceful cupajava, then Make a short left off the R56

Ideally situated on the outskirts of Richmond KZN, the Hanger serves very reasonable prices dine-in meals. There are time restraints but does not detract from the main theme, that of comfortable dining. Take aways are also available. Light aircraft activity also on the offing at times. Very pleasant, staff super friendly!!

Lovely Café. Fly in or drive there for a lovey meal, milkshake, cake or coffee.

Located enjoyably near the main Richmond Rd., on the side of a small grassed runway, amongst scenic sugar cane fields. Watch the small planes do their things. Usually fully occupied and busy. Menu is short but I've always enjoyed what I ordered. Stays on my list of places to go to. Byo.

Interrupted our motorbike ride for a quick brekkie. Was probably the best we’ve had in a long time. Highly recommended and will definitely go back again.

This is a small coffee shop located next to a grass airstrip. The menu is limited but the prices are fair and the people are friendly and efficient. They also sell some meat cuts , gifts and fresh vegetables on occassions

What an amazing surprise in the heart of Richmond. Superb views, ambiance, food and service. If you're in the area or passing through definitely make a bit of time to stop.

Extremely welcoming and friendly, very covid safe. The cheese cake delicious and in fact all food is very tasty and above all fits the pocket!!! The little shop area is most interesting too. Just love "The Hanger." It's the BEST in town.
