The Orchard Restaurant

My accommodation was basic but clean. Unfortunately the towel rail fell off the wall, and other fittings in my bathroom were only just hanging on. Saying that the room was quiet and I had plenty of room. The room safe I never got to work, but this was not a problem as just took my valuables with me. Molly the manager was super welcoming and friendly. The only downside were the security gates, they were locked when whenever we returned to the premises rightly so but we struggled to get anyone's attention to let's us back in!!!

The cellphone signal is bad in the area but the WiFi coverage doesn't get a lot of the rooms. One can not blame the venue for the bad signal but the WiFi coverage could easily be fixed by just installing some more WiFi access points. The rooms were a bit expensive for what you get.

Shout out to Lebohang and the staff for making our stay amazing and assisting with additional room my bridesmaids and me to get hair and make up!!!Rooms: 3/5

Disaster...no reception at the gate. We stood in front of the gate for over 10 minutes. We booked months in advance with the promise the loadsheadding wont be a problem, well it was a big problem, there was no petrol for the generator. We waited one and a half hour for petrol. The bride was late for her wedding because of the Guesthouse. The plugs in the room where the bride was suppose to dress and do her hair was faulty. Some of the guests rooms didn't have globes for the lights. I will never recommend this guest house to any bride or wedding couple.

Room not ready, no one to let you in at the gate, floors dirty, no WiFi, dstv not working, tikes falling if wall in bathroom, ceiling about to fall down, fridge balanced on a crate, shelves fallen off and just lying around. Grounds unkept, grass not cut, car in grass, dirty pool, just aweful. Facilities very poor nothing like the photosRooms: 1/5

Unkempt Gardens full of weeds, chickens everywhere, impossible to sleep. This place is nothing like the photos, pool is ghastly green, wanted to have a swim before our wedding but no chance of that. We were the only guests and asked if it was possible to make use of one of the rooms adjacent to ours, so that we had space for both bride and groom to get dressed for our ceremony, and received a flat out no. No compromise or even politeness. Definitely would not recommend to couples thinking of getting married next door at the Forest Walk Venue The venue gets a resounding 10/10 from us though.

We booked the place on time. They confirmed they would clean the place and groom the garden. None of that was done- I the bride had to come and mop the floor, remove their dirty and dusty curtains. When we called MamSalome the owner, she insisted that it was how they clean - yet the place was visibly I in cleaned and dusty! No one wanted to be responsible enough to at least apologise or assist us clean the place! Their service is terrible and not worth spending on! Save your money and go to a place that will honour you as a guest Mam Salome is a scam - she gave us tables with no legs‼ She is a SCAM and she’ll point fingers instead of fixing the issue‼ The Orchards “Executive”Accommodation is a scam‼ Save your money and book elsewhere for the sake of your peace Thank you

I called The Orchards in November 2020 to book the honeymoon suite for May 2021, as I had booked the venue next door for our wedding and The orchards came highly recommended. The booking was confirmed by Telephone and by email on 15 November 2020. Since then I have heard nothing from The orchards. I called today to make sure everything was still in order and was informed that I had never made a booking, even though I have the email confirmation, I was also informed that they have been closed since last year, 2020 and that it was impossible that I had made any booking or spoken to anyone! The woman on the phone was completely unsympathetic to my plight as I now have no accommodation for my wedding day in May! She insisted she had never spoken to me when in fact I had spoken to her on 2 separate occasions once in November 2020 To make the booking and confirm prices and again in January 2020 When we called to make an appointment to view the guest house. She insisted this was impossible as they are not open and not taking guests. And was unable to assist me with the accommodation that I had booked! When I asked why no one had called to tell me the guesthouse was no longer open or taking guests to let me know I would have no room on my wedding night she said, “because they have no guests and I had no booking” shocking shocking shocking! If I could give zero stars I would! I would never recommend this place to anyone as after you make a booking you can not be guaranteed of the accommodation when you arrive! Completely incompetent!

There is no wifi, the food is not really nice and the rest rooms had flushing issues. The place is beautiful but needs a lot if TLC

Received the most amazing service when we had stayed there on the day of our wedding. Rooms were lovely and spacious, friendly staff and lovely breakfast, the only downfall is the service you receive. I find that the response time is very low almost like when it suits them, and we had a struggle to get our deposit back. I believe that if you are running a guesthouse that your level of service needs to be fast as it is a business you are running. Other than that it was a wonderful experience for us
