Very friendly, professional staff.  They are very helpful, warm but stay professional.  I congratulate and thank each staff member. Hotel service is outstanding. Excellent hotel. Beautiful hotel, surrounded by restaurants and the newly opened Ocean's Mall. Beach clean. Safe to walk and run on beach walk. Vibrant night life.

Invited for a conference, pleasantly surprised. Conference facilities good. Food was delicious and the service is what you expect from such a establishment.

Stayed here for 11 days. Staff is friendly and helpful. Facilities are maintained and cleaned. Breakfast is good. Got room serviced daily. Will definitely recommend.

I seldomly award 5 stars but in this case, I just simply cannot fault the service at this property. Upon arrival we were received by Tshidi who upgraded us to a sea facing room even though we booked a non-seaview room. The reception staff are super welcoming and really made my day with a speedy check-in. The hotel room on the 26th floor is really worth the money! I will most definitely return and can recommend this establishment if you are looking for upmarket, safe and right in the middle of entertainment and night-life accommodation. Well done, The Pearls of Umhlanga! Keep up the good work!

Great easy center to shop at I recommend it any day over the arch .

Really over-priced. Building is in real need of maintenance. Would've thought such a high price per night, place should be immaculate. Cheap furniture. Also damaged and scratched as in pics. Would not go there again. Hotels in umhlanga offer higher value for less money.

I'm enjoying my stay here. It isn't too busy and the pool area is well maintained. Security and staff are very efficient. Breakfast was good and I'll definitely stay here again

We booked in line a Studio apartment. So judging by da pics we saw also showing a pic of da room being sea facing , booking was high but as it was da Pearl's we thought why not. When we do get dee  11th floor all excited It's a Small room double bed cheap looking roomno style small TV which wasn't working nd worst part no sea view!!!. Nvr again nd as for da building all cracks no maintenance

I suspect that this used to be a good apartment to rent for a seaside holiday but we had an awful  long stay here. The worst is the rate of criminal activity in the vicinity. There was a stabbing/shooting downstairs at the mall parking lot which is essentially shared with the residents as there’s no real separation between the two. We witnessed people enter the apartment block who were not registered on the biometric system which is a total security breach and leaves all other guests vulnerable if these individuals have ill intentions. The security  personnel are ineffective at carrying out basic tasks such as ensuring residents are quiet as parties and noise persisted on some nights till 4am! Impossible to even hear the ocean over all the noise coming from others in the apartment, the restaurants downstairs and the cars zooming along the streets. The fact that there’s a live DJ at the hotel restaurant is an indication of the type of place this is. Not to mention the R105 price of a toasted cheese and tomato sandwich at the capital restaurant which was an absolute laugh. We also heard a car theft being reported by the owner during our stay there. Nothing about this apartment is worth the cost; totally overpriced and below average experience.

Dominates the village but rather too intrusive and the towers simply have ruined the once Village like resort that had the family UMHLANGA rocks hotel, I loved very much and a nice place to swim, meet relatives staying there, great views of the sea and lighthouse and superb dining too!  Now it’s sadly swallowed up by this too extreme development but soon the Oceans will add further ultra development and their 3 new towers are set to surpass the tallest building Pearl Sky 3rd and last to be added To the other 2 towers at 37 storeys currently tallest and monolithic in size!  The mail is rather modest but there are some great restaurants but overall not my favorite development, Umhlanga Arch is tops!
