Launched in May 2000, the Pyramid Conference and Venue Centre saw a need in the market, specifically the south of Johannesburg and the CBD, to provide a large, quality venue centre that would cater for a wide range of events, from meetings, conferences, product launches, private events, weddings, road shows and exhibitions and so much more.
Graded as a 5 star facility in the meetings and special events category, The Pyramid Venue has established itself as a front runner in service delivery, offering quality hospitality at affordable pricing. Facilities include the largest room, The Great Hall, that caters for a 300 seated banquet, or 500 seating theatre style. A variety of smaller conference rooms are available, seating 150 classroom style or are ideal for smaller groups of 20-40 guests. Safe covered parking provides peace of mind. On site equipment includes AV screens, projectors, Free Wi-Fi Access, PA systems, DJ sound and a raised round stage in the main venue.
In Oct 2010, The Pyramid Day Spa opened its doors. A true sanctuary for the mind and body to relax and unwind. Not only does the day spa cater for the private individual, who needs to be pampered, but it is also an ideal environment for corporate groups looking to reward their staff as an incentive, or to come together to network, team build or brain storm in an environment that is relaxing and away from the daily grind of the corporate world. Monthly promotions are always a treat and very popular with the regular clientele. A full range of body, facial and nail treatments are on offer as well as Group Packages. Facilities include an outdoor pool deck, a relaxation garden area with a hammock between two tall trees, sauna, steam showers, ladies Jacuzzi as well as stunning private executive suites with their own private relaxation areas, steam showers and jetted baths.
In 2011 The Pyramid Day Spa won the prestigious Award Winner of the 2011 Les Nouvelles Esthétiques , Day Spa of The Year Award, as well as "Best of the Best" for interior design. The two facilities, venue and the day spa, complement each other so well, that over the past 5 years, a regular client base has been established, who regularly incorporate both facilities into their events.
Passion for the beauty industry, and quality education, led to the development of The Pyramid Beauty School. A quality training center that launched in February 2013. Currently running with 1st year and 2nd year full time learners, we are very excited to host our 3rd year learners from February 2016. A unique concept in that, not only is the school based in a venue ideal for training, but it provides an on-site functional day spa facility where students can obtain practical hands on experience during their time of studies, which will give our learners the added advantage when they need to seek employment in the beauty industry.
Part time courses are frequently held during the year, as a convenient option for the private individual who wants to earn an extra income in their spare time, doing beauty treatments.
